1,000-lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Engaged to Andrea Dalton

Tammy Slaton is taking the next step in her relationship with Andrea Dalton. 

Two months following the “1,000-lb. Sisters” star disclosing that she entered a new romantic relationship with a woman, she announced her engagement.

During the June 24th episode of the A Creative Chaos podcast, Tammy stated, “My partner and I usually just relax at home.

Naturally, the word choice piqued the interest of host Hunter Ezell who said, “Hold on, fiancée?”

Tammy’s face lit up as Hunter highlighted her necklace engraved with “Andrea,” and displayed his diamond ring proudly towards the cameras. Although Tammy was reluctant to discuss the details of her engagement, she did reveal that she and her fiancé have been a couple for three years already.

The announcement of Tammy’s engagement follows closely on the heels of her disclosure about her relationship with Andrea, which was made in an episode of 1,000-lb. Sisters that aired in April.

During the show, Tammy shared, “For the last few months, things have been going great with the person I’ve been seeing.” She also revealed, “I should mention that this special someone is a woman.

At that point, Tammy confessed that she’d been keeping her relationship secret due to her fear of family judgement, with her sister, Amy Slaton, being part of that family.

She explained, “I haven’t shared this with my family yet as I expect them to offer their opinions on the matter.” She added humorously, “My family might have more opinions than there are people in the world, given how frequently they express them.

As she put it, “I don’t know how my family’s gonna react when I tell them I’m seeing a woman.”

Without a doubt, Tammy had openly discussed her sexuality prior to this, such as when she disclosed to her ex-boyfriend Jerry during a 2021 episode of her TLC series that she identified as pansexual. Later, following the passing of her husband Caleb Willingham in 2023, Tammy revisited and publicly shared her preferences once more on social media.

In a now-deleted TikTok video from 2024, Tammy shared, “Previously, I identified as pansexual, but following my husband’s passing, I haven’t been involved with men anymore. So, in essence, I’ve been acting like a woman who identifies as a lesbian.

Since 2020, viewers of TLC have followed the journey of Tammy Slaton, as she featured on the show “1000-lb. Sisters”. Post her bariatric surgery in mid-2022, fans have been keeping up with her transformation both on TV and various social media platforms.

As of August 2024, she has lost 500 pounds.

The reality star shared a snap of herself in a floral print dress on Instagram in June 2023.

That same month, Tammy posted a group photo with her brother Chris Combs and YouTuber Chelcie Lynn.

Come July 2023, Tammy deeply grieved the passing of her husband, Caleb Willingham. On Instagram, she penned a heartfelt message saying, “Rest in peace, sweet guardian angel; your absence will be felt and cherished forevermore,” accompanied by nostalgic snapshots. “Thank you, Caleb, for revealing true love and joy to me.
