As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice the buzz surrounding Amy Slaton Jackson from the hit show “1000-Lb. Sisters.” Her recent car ride duet with fiancé Andrea Dalton to Kenny Loggins’ classic tune “Footloose” had everyone talking! However, it wasn’t just their harmonious voices that caught people’s attention – some fans pointed out an apparent bruise on Amy’s chin.

“Are you OK?” one user commented underneath the Aug. 28 TikTok video. “What happened to your chin?”

In response, Tammy explained, “I had teeth pulled.”

Instead, consider this rephrased version: Lately, the 39-year-old has received criticism for revealing her newly replaced teeth, which were fitted with a dental bridge to close gaps left by missing teeth.

In an episode of the Creative Chaos podcast on August 19th, she remarked that “Critics help me gain popularity.” She further explained about her procedure by saying “They’re not permanent yet. They needed to be cemented in as the glue wasn’t working. My body was rejecting it. They had to extract some teeth and it’s a bridge. I still have more work done. It’s an ongoing process.

As reported by Tammy, the replacement tooth (referred to as a bridge) that is attached to nearby natural teeth to fill a gap in someone’s smile, has caused a minor alteration in her vocal tone.

At that point, she confided that she developed a slight lisp, which she expected would disappear in time. She believed her current change in voice could be attributed to the fact that she was just happier now.

In addition to her continuous pursuit for a flawless smile, Tammy’s recent video represents a first since the heartbreaking demise of her cousin Katie Slaton, who was often seen with her on TLC shows, after a long fight with stage 4 cancer.

With profound sadness, Amanda Halterman shared on Instagram on August 26th, ‘My heart and spirit are heavy as I announce the passing of my beloved little cousin.’ She was a vibrant presence who embodied love that was warm and open-hearted. She lit up every gathering she attended and was more than just a friend to me.

She went on, ‘Our grandparents and friends were there to greet you, welcome back. I ask that you offer prayers for everyone who cares about her. My gratitude goes out to each of you for showing your support.’

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that an online tribute for Katie revealed her passion for several cherished pastimes. Among these, she found great joy in fishing, appreciating music, and spending quality time with her beloved family and friends.
