11 Years On, This Forgotten Supernatural Anime Remains in Limbo (& Is Impossible to Stream)

It’s been eleven years since the last episode of this older, supernatural anime was released, and unfortunately, it hasn’t been picked up for more. Even worse, the two existing seasons aren’t available on any streaming services. Many anime shows have long gaps between seasons—the wait for the next installments of Attack on Titan and One-Punch Man were particularly frustrating—but at least those shows eventually came back. This one remains unfinished.

Many anime series simply disappear, never getting an ending or even an official cancellation. This is particularly frustrating for fans, who are left wondering if the show will ever return. One anime from Studio Bones appears to be in this situation, especially since it’s no longer available to stream. It’s unfortunate, because the series has a loyal following and seemed to have a lot of promise.

11 Years Later, Noragami Has Still Never Been Canceled or Renewed for Season 3

The anime Noragami adapted Adachi Toka’s manga from 2014 to 2015, with the most recent season airing between October and December of 2015. The story centers around Yato, a minor god trying to reinvent himself as the God of Fortune, and Hiyori, a girl who finds herself caught between worlds after trying to help him. While the second season concludes the current storyline without a major cliffhanger, it leaves many questions unanswered, as the manga continues beyond this point and offers more to the story.

Despite having enough manga chapters left to adapt, Noragami hasn’t had a new season since its second one. While Studio Bones hasn’t officially cancelled the show, there haven’t been any announcements about a third season either, leading many fans to believe it’s unlikely to return. To make matters worse, the first two seasons are no longer available for streaming.

Noragami Becoming Impossible to Stream Is Another Disappointment for Fans

Fans were already sad that Noragami wasn’t getting a third season, and were even more disappointed when it disappeared from streaming services in 2025. Now, the anime is largely unavailable to watch on popular platforms like Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. While it can still be purchased, not everyone has the option to buy it, and finding physical copies can be difficult.

With its uncertain availability and removal from streaming services, Noragami risks being lost to many viewers over time. Fans eager to see how the story truly ends have already turned to the manga, and now, reading the manga might be the only way to experience it. While other anime are hard to find, Noragami‘s situation is particularly frustrating.
