12 New Best Movies Streaming Free in June 2026

With the rise of free streaming services like Tubi, Pluto TV, and Plex, there are now tons of movies and TV shows available to watch without paying a subscription fee. And June is bringing even more! As summer blockbusters hit theaters, these free platforms are also adding some excellent new titles to their collections.

With so many shows and movies available, deciding what to watch can be overwhelming. Thousands of hours of new content are added every month, and even sticking to highly-rated films leaves you with plenty of choices. Luckily, June 1st brings a great selection of timeless classics to various streaming platforms – it’s shaping up to be a fantastic month for movie lovers!

12) Star Trek Generations – Tubi

Most fans consider Wrath of Khan the best Star Trek movie, but Generations deserves more recognition. It famously ‘killed off’ Captain Kirk (played by William Shatner) twice, and while controversial, it served a great story. The pairing of Shatner and Patrick Stewart is still a highlight for fans, especially since Kirk hadn’t been seen in The Next Generation alongside other original cast members. The result was a really fun sci-fi movie, and it’s now available on Tubi along with other TNGera films like First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis*.

11) Dredd – Plex

Before Karl Urban became known for playing Billy Butcher, he first donned the iconic helmet of Judge Dredd in 2000 AD. While the film is often praised for its realistic, violent action and compared to The Raid, the two movies actually came out around the same time, making the similarities a fortunate accident. Many fans hoped for sequels starring Urban, and rumors have surfaced over the years, but unfortunately, they never materialized. So, it’s best to enjoy the Dredd film we did get, especially considering how much it improved upon the widely disliked 1990s version starring Sylvester Stallone.

10) Bumblebee – Tubi & Pluto TV

For years, a truly good Transformers movie seemed out of reach. While the films directed by Michael Bay were visually impressive with exciting action and strong performances from the human actors, they were ultimately just empty entertainment. That all changed with Travis Knight’s Bumblebee, which gave the popular character a more heartfelt, story-driven feel reminiscent of classic Spielberg films. It’s a really enjoyable movie, and it’s disappointing we didn’t get to see more films in that style.

9) Pulp Fiction – Pluto TV

Quentin Tarantino burst onto the scene with the fantastic Reservoir Dogs, and two years later, he followed it up with something even better: Pulp Fiction. Many consider Pulp Fiction to be Tarantino’s most stylish and captivating film, from its look and story to its overall feel. The movie brought together a talented cast, revitalized John Travolta’s career, boosted the cool factor of Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, and gave us countless memorable lines. It’s still a daring and incredibly fun watch, and Tarantino’s choice to tell the story out of order – without confusing the audience – is just a bonus.

8) Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves – Pluto TV

Dungeons & Dragons has such a rich and detailed history that it feels like we should have seen dozens of movies and TV shows based on it by now. It’s disappointing that only one truly stands out, and it’s frustrating that Honor Among Thieves hasn’t gotten a sequel yet. The movie, directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, is a fun and affectionate tribute to the Dungeons & Dragons game, but it’s also a genuinely funny and exciting fantasy heist. It even makes the more serious Lord of the Rings films seem a bit stuffy by comparison (though those are still amazing!). Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a really enjoyable movie you can watch again and again, so definitely check it out while it’s available for free.

7) Anchorman – Pluto TV

Some might be surprised to see Will Ferrell’s Anchorman mentioned with classic films, but it’s easily one of the funniest comedies of the past few decades—perhaps even of the 21st century. It’s delightfully silly in a way that many modern comedies aren’t, packed with jokes, and full of memorable lines – all signs of a truly successful comedy. While the sequel (also available on Pluto TV) and the movie made from leftover footage aren’t quite as strong, the original Anchorman remains the benchmark for hilarious comedies.

6) Stand By Me – Tubi

Stephen King’s work has been adapted for the screen numerous times, with classics like It, Carrie, and The Shining receiving multiple retellings. However, many consider the best adaptation to be based on one of his lesser-known stories: the 1982 novella The Body. Interestingly, the resulting film, a masterpiece directed by Rob Reiner, doesn’t rely on typical horror tropes. Instead, it’s celebrated as one of the greatest coming-of-age movies ever made. Even after nearly 45 years, it remains a deeply moving and enjoyable watch, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely add it to your list.

5) Uncut Gems – Plex & Pluto TV

I’ve always been a fan of Adam Sandler – he’s made some really good movies over the years. But Uncut Gems? That film completely changed how people saw him. He was incredible, and everyone started talking about him as a potential Oscar winner – even though, believe it or not, he didn’t actually get nominated! He plays Howard Ratner, this wonderfully messed-up character who’s both strangely likable and really frustrating, and you find yourself desperately wanting him to succeed. It’s not an easy watch, the Safdie brothers deliberately made it intense, but it’s still one of the best films of the last ten years. Honestly, I think Sandler deserved an award for that performance.

4) (500) Days Of Summer – Tubi

Recent discussions about the film 500 Days of Summer that labeled the main character, Tom, as the villain missed the point – it’s simply a very well-made movie. While Tom is clearly flawed and struggles with rejection, and it’s easy to analyze his behavior, his story of falling in love and experiencing heartbreak is compelling. Similarly, Zooey Deschanel’s character, Summer, is a captivating contrast to Tom’s imperfections.

3) Raiders of the Lost Ark – Pluto TV

With the possibility of no more Indiana Jones films looming (hard to believe!), it’s a great time to revisit Harrison Ford’s other iconic series. Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark remains the gold standard for adventure movies, instantly creating a legendary hero out of an archeologist – something truly special. Ford perfectly embodies Indy’s gruffness while still being charming and relatable, which is why the character is considered one of the all-time greats. All four Indiana Jones movies, including the original trilogy and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, will be available on Pluto TV in June, but the first three remain the most beloved.

2) Se7en – Tubi

Looking back at everything David Fincher has done, it’s amazing to remember that Se7en was only his second movie, following the tough experience of Alien 3. It’s easy to overlook how brilliant it is because of all his later successes, but I truly believe this is his masterpiece. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman have incredible chemistry on screen – it’s the kind of dynamic every director dreams of – and Kevin Spacey is genuinely terrifying as the villain. For me, it’s one of the most creative and effective crime thrillers ever made.

1) The Godfather Trilogy – Pluto TV

As a huge movie fan, I honestly don’t think any other trilogy tops The Godfather. It’s amazing how good the first two movies are, even though a lot of people feel the third one isn’t quite as strong. I always thought Part II just set the bar impossibly high after the already fantastic original! Thankfully, the new version of Part III, called Coda, really fixes a lot of the issues with the original cut. Now, the whole trilogy – including that updated Coda from 2020 – is coming to Pluto TV, so there’s really no reason not to experience it all!
