I’ve been following Makoto Shinkai for a while now, and he’s truly become a huge name in anime. He’s the director behind some incredibly popular and beautiful films like Your Name and Voices of a Distant Star. He also started his own studio, CoMix Wave Films, which is known for its stunning visuals and often focuses on love stories. He first gained attention with his debut film, The Place Promised in Our Early Days back in 2004, but it was Your Name in 2016 that really launched him to international fame. Even now, years later, Your Name is considered a masterpiece and almost everyone who enjoys anime has seen it. Fans, myself included, are always eager to see what he’ll do next, and he recently shared some exciting news about an upcoming project.
