House Of Cards Deserves A Big Comeback On Netflix

There’s a good chance House of Cards will return to Netflix soon. How House Of Cards Can Reboot In The Near Future

Even though the show ended with season 6, there are a few believable ways House of Cards could come back for a seventh season. Some characters survived, which opens the door to continuing their stories, or introducing a new cast operating behind the scenes in Washington D.C.

Given the success of House of Cards and the continued acclaim of its creator, Beau Willimon – who has since earned Emmy nominations for shows like Andor and Severance – a revival or continuation of the series feels like a logical step for Netflix. While The Diplomat, starring Keri Russell, has been a successful political drama for the platform, Netflix hasn’t yet found another show to fully fill the void left by House of Cards.

A successful reboot of House of Cards would likely feature a completely new set of characters and be set in today’s world, steering clear of today’s divisive political issues. The original series was so captivating because it centered on themes of corruption, ambition, and the pursuit of power, using Washington D.C. as a backdrop. A revival on Netflix could easily recapture that magic with fresh characters navigating the same political landscape.
