1348 Ex Voto launches March 12 for PS5 and PC; Xbox Series version canceled

The action adventure game 1348 Ex Voto, set in 14th century Italy, will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) on March 12th for $24.99. Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Sedleo have announced that the planned Xbox Series version has been cancelled to allow the team to concentrate on making the game as good as possible for PC and PlayStation players.

1348 Ex Voto is an action-packed adventure game set in medieval Italy during the year 1348. The game follows Aeta (voiced by Alby Baldwin) as she embarks on a dangerous quest across the Italian Peninsula to find her loved one, Bianca (Jennifer English), after their village is attacked by bandits.

Sedleo, a new Italian game studio founded by Tom Oceano and Fabiola Martelli, is launching with its first project, 1348 Ex Voto. Tom and Fabiola brought together a team of experienced developers from major studios to create compelling stories and high-quality games.

Sedleo chose Italy as the setting for their game because they wanted incredibly realistic environments. The team spent considerable time exploring the Italian countryside, carefully studying the landscapes and gathering details to create a believable and immersive world for the story.

The year 1348 was a particularly disastrous one for Italy. Following outbreaks of disease, the already unstable medieval society descended further into chaos. Ordinary people faced increased danger from bandits and mercenary groups, while extremist religious groups caused unrest. At the same time, those in positions of power struggled with a lack of strong leadership.

When bandits attacked their village, young noblewoman Aeta lost her dearest friend, Bianca. Determined to find her, Aeta – who was training to be a knight – embarks on a dangerous quest. Her search will take her across medieval Italy, forcing her to explore and battle her way to reach Bianca.
