However, Titanic Scion makes a significant shift by transforming Arsenals into power armor. The expansive open-world also introduces new ways to traverse, like horseback riding, which is as amusing as it appears, and even a larger Arsenal frame for dishing out massive damage in a limited timeframe. Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion launches on September 5th for Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and PS5, and it might just be the best mecha game of the year.

Borderlands 4

It’s ironic to consider how far we’ve moved from what Borderlands 3 was intended to be, into an epic saga of rebellion against a tyrannical ruler on an uncharted planet, according to Gearbox. Despite the unexpected turn, Borderlands 4 seems promising based on what has been revealed so far, defying expectations. The four new playable characters – Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe – all show unique charm; the idea of combining parts from different gun manufacturers into a single weapon is intriguing; and the new grappling, dashing, double-jumping mechanics feel fitting. Whether the narrative will have a satisfying conclusion or not, as well as the post-game content, are questions yet to be answered (I’m still upset about Maya, Gearbox).
