The year 2025 offered a diverse range of entertainment, with anime leading the way. While the animated film KPop Demon Hunters became Netflix’s most popular animated streaming release, anime also thrived in cinemas. In fact, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 directly challenged KPop Demon Hunters in theaters. Released in Japan in July 2025, Demon Slayer has been so successful that some Japanese cinemas recently added new showings.
Despite being released over seven months ago, the popular anime movie still isn’t available on Crunchyroll. Recent showings in theaters have actually pushed back its streaming release date. Another major anime film from this year, Chainsaw Man The Movie – Reze Arc, premiered in Japan in September and, while you can rent it on Amazon Prime and it’s available in some regions, it’s not yet available for regular streaming either. It’s frustrating that fans can’t easily watch these two big anime movies, but that might change in the near future.
Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man Movies Still Aren’t Available to Stream (But That Could Change Soon)

Crunchyroll has announced that Chainsaw Man The Movie – Reze Arc will be available to stream this spring, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet – it could arrive as late as June. While fans know when to expect Chainsaw Man, there’s no information yet on when Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be available. Demon Slayer was the most popular anime movie of 2025 and the highest-grossing anime film ever, and because it’s still playing in some theaters, it may take a while before it comes to streaming platforms.
Fans might hear news next month during the Anime Japan event on March 28th and 29th, where Demon Slayer will have a presentation. Many are hoping for updates on the next movies in the series, and there’s a good chance we’ll find out when Infinity Castle will be available to stream. However, based on how long it took for the previous movie to appear on streaming platforms, a release isn’t likely until July 2026. Currently, there are no confirmed streaming dates for either of the year’s biggest movies, which is frustrating for fans who have been waiting a long time to watch them online.
