Unfortunately, despite the ongoing discussions about cars, I must share some disappointing news regarding the popular Xbox game, Forza. Regrettably, it seems that further installments of this game may not be released, as reportedly the Forza Motorsport team has been disbanded earlier this month. This decision comes after Microsoft, the company’s parent, made significant layoffs affecting over 9,000 employees. According to Fred Russell, a former Turn 10 Studios employee, this move led to the closure of the entire Forza Motorsport team. It appears that the remaining staff are primarily focused on supporting Forza Horizon, which is mainly developed by Playground Games.

Microsoft appears to have shown greater interest in Forza Horizon 6, a more arcade-style adaptation of the original series that has gained significant popularity on PlayStation recently. Expected to launch next year, it’s possible that Forza Horizon 6 will also be released on PS5 due to the success of its predecessor on the platform. Although Forza Motorsport may have reached its conclusion, we can still look forward to playing Forza Horizon 6.
