A new theory about the DC Universe reimagines one of the villains from season 2 of *Peacemaker*, connecting them to Lex Luthor, as played by Nicholas Hoult in *Superman*. *Peacemaker* season 2 has brought in a lot of new characters to James Gunn’s revamped DC Universe, including those from the disturbing alternate Earth X. A recent theory adds a frightening new layer to the backstory of one of the more mysterious new villains.
Season 2 of *Peacemaker* takes place within the new DC Universe (DCU), meaning events from shows like *Creature Commandos* and the recent *Superman* movie will affect the story. We’ve already seen fun connections, including the return of Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo), the Justice Gang appearing in a revised ending to season 1, and even Nicholas Hoult showing up as Lex Luthor. Lex Luthor’s appearance suggests something major could be revealed in the season’s final episode, “Full Nelson.”
Sasha Bordeaux’s Cyborg Enhancements May Be Courtesy of Lex Luthor in Peacemaker Season 2

Sol Rodriguez joined the DC Universe as Sasha Bordeaux in season 2 of *Peacemaker*. Sasha is a key agent with ARGUS, working alongside Rick Flag Sr. and Langston Fleury to capture Christopher Smith, also known as Peacemaker. In episode 5, “Back to the Suture,” it’s revealed Sasha has cybernetic implants, giving her enhanced skills like perfect accuracy. These were needed after a devastating accident severely injured her. While the source of her technology is still unknown, fans on Reddit have speculated a connection to Lex Luthor.
Something wrong about Bordeaux (Theory) (Spoilers ep 6 season 2)

In the DC comics, Sasha Bordeaux becomes a cyborg after encountering an OMAC – a person turned into a cyborg by a virus – while working with Batman. A popular theory on Reddit proposes that the upcoming live-action DC Universe (DCU) might change her origin story. This theory suggests Lex Luthor was the one who upgraded Bordeaux with cybernetic enhancements. He’s already demonstrated this ability by giving Angela Spica, the character Engineer, similar technology in the *Superman* series. It’s possible ARGUS commissioned Luthor to do the same for Bordeaux, or that Luthor has even darker intentions for her within the new DCU.
Lex Luthor May Be Using Sasha Bordeaux as a Pawn Inside ARGUS

There’s a possibility Lex Luthor secretly upgraded Sasha Bordeaux with cybernetics, potentially turning her into a spy within ARGUS. Bordeaux might be unaware she’s being used to feed Luthor information about everything happening at the agency, and he could have been subtly controlling ARGUS for a long time, even while in prison. His recent alliance with Rick Flag Sr. makes this especially concerning, suggesting Luthor now has unprecedented influence over ARGUS.
Lex Luthor has managed to get himself transferred to a prison in Metropolis, closer to home, after convincing Rick Flag Sr. This move, combined with Sasha Bordeaux and Flag growing closer, raises a lot of questions. It’s unclear what Luthor was using Bordeaux for within ARGUS, or if he’s responsible for any upgrades she’s received. Whatever his intentions, his actions could have a huge impact on the future of the DC Universe.
What Could Lex Luthor Be Planning for ARGUS in the DCU?

Lex Luthor’s scheme to use Sasha Bordeaux as an inside source at ARGUS has worked perfectly. He now knows ARGUS possesses working interdimensional technology – something he desperately wants. Considering his own failed attempt to build similar portals in the past, which nearly destroyed the world, this makes complete sense. Sydney Happersen revealed that Peacemaker’s portal is superior to Luthor’s, suggesting Luthor might want the technology to improve his own creations – or even to break out of prison.
As *Peacemaker* season 2 nears its end with no current plans for a third season, we might soon see what Lex Luthor is planning for Sasha Bordeaux. He could even take over as the head of ARGUS, potentially leading to a major comeback in the upcoming *Man of Tomorrow* film—the sequel to *Superman* planned for 2027—alongside David Corenswet as Superman. The final episode of *Peacemaker* season 2, titled “Full Nelson,” will likely reveal more about Sasha Bordeaux, and it would be fantastic if it established a connection between her and Lex Luthor, solidifying his role as one of the DC Universe’s biggest villains.
