The upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday, will include many popular heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Thor, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men.
A reliable source, MyTimeToShineHello, says the three heroes shown in the post-credits scene after the Multiverse Saga won’t be involved in the next big crossover event.
Avengers: Doomsday won’t feature three fan-favorite MCU heroes
A source on X (formerly Twitter) claims Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Binary won’t be in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. All three characters were featured in last year’s Marvel film, The Marvels, which ended with a scene introducing Kelsey Grammer as Beast into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Since Grammer was set to reprise his role as Beast in the Doomsday movie, many fans expected to see Monica Rambeau and Binary in the Avengers film, especially because those characters were featured in the scene after the credits.
Recent reports about who will be in the upcoming “Doomsday” film have been conflicting. Initially, it seemed Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, might be the only main character from “The Marvels” to appear. However, another source disputed this claim, suggesting all four characters from “The Marvels” will actually be involved. While the first report was firm, the second source playfully questioned its accuracy, implying the initial information was likely wrong.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really hoping to see Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Lashana Lynch back as Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, Ms. Marvel, and Binary in the next Avengers movie, Doomsday. Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed their return yet, but the director of The Marvels, Nia DaCosta, recently mentioned she was on the Doomsday set last summer, which has a lot of us thinking they’ll definitely be involved!
Larson has hinted at returning for the upcoming movie, Doomsday. In November 2025, she posted a picture of herself with a wig that looked just like Captain Marvel’s hair. She playfully told fans to disregard the wig, which many interpreted as a deliberate signal that she’d be reprising her role as Captain Marvel.
The new Avengers movie, “Doomsday,” is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, leaving fans with less than a year to find out if characters from “The Marvels” will be included.
