Since its launch in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has been a huge success, boasting a fantastic library of critically acclaimed games – some available only on PlayStation, and others released on multiple platforms. As time passes, many PlayStation fans are starting to wonder about the PlayStation 6. While Sony hasn’t shared many details about its next console, including when it might come out, fans are speculating about a release date based on the development timelines of future games. It’s believed that several upcoming titles won’t be available on the PS5 and are instead being saved for the PS6’s launch.
These are the kinds of games developers dedicate years to crafting – truly ambitious projects that have the potential to become classics. Whether development went smoothly or faced setbacks, these games always take a long time to create. From the moment they’re announced, players expect to wait several years before they can finally play them.
3) Physint
Hideo Kojima, a highly acclaimed game developer, has announced his next project, *Physint*. Fans anticipate his games will be innovative and grand in scope, though typically require a long wait. *Physint* appears to be a return to the action-espionage style he’s famous for, reminiscent of the *Metal Gear* series. While details are scarce, the game will feature actors Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-seok, and Minami Hamabe. Rumors suggest Robert Pattinson will play the lead role, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Most people agree that the game *Physint* is still several years away, and will probably launch with the PlayStation 6. Even though it’s being made with the same engine as *Death Stranding 2: On the Beach*, and Kojima Productions is working on other projects like *OD: Knock*, it seems *Physint* is still in the early stages of development. While the game will likely be amazing, fans should be prepared to wait a long time for its release.
2) The Witcher 4

CD Projekt RED is working on the next *Witcher* game, often referred to as *Witcher 4*, and players are thrilled at the prospect of playing as Ciri. While Geralt’s story is mostly finished, he might still make appearances in the new game. The studio has offered a sneak peek at the game’s world, showcasing its impressive scope and graphics. However, this preview has left fans wondering when they can actually play it.
CD Projekt RED has stated that the next *Witcher* game won’t be released until at least 2027, and possibly even later. Because of this, many fans think the game will be made for the PlayStation 6 instead of the current PS5. The game appears to be very ambitious in terms of graphics and gameplay, and CD Projekt RED will likely want to avoid a repeat of the launch issues with *Cyberpunk 2077*. Therefore, it makes sense they might wait until more powerful consoles are available before releasing it.
1) Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog, the studio behind popular games like *Uncharted* and *The Last of Us*, recently announced a brand new game, and fans are thrilled. *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* is a science fiction role-playing game set in space. It combines challenging moral decisions, explores religious ideas, and promises the same high-quality gameplay Naughty Dog is known for. The initial trailer and gameplay footage reveal a creative world and a compelling story, with actress Tati Gabrielle taking a leading role and addressing some early feedback about the game.
PlayStation 5 fans are worried that *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* might not come out on their console and could instead be released for the PS6. The game might launch very late in the PS5’s lifespan, or possibly be released for both consoles. It’s difficult to predict a release date without more information. Some speculate that Naughty Dog having freed up resources after shutting down online services for *The Last of Us* could speed up development, but that’s just speculation at this point.
