Every year, new manga series debut and quickly gain popularity. But alongside these fresh stories, many long-running and cherished manga also come to an end, which can be both sad and satisfying for fans. Saying goodbye to a series you’ve followed for years is especially tough, but there’s also excitement in seeing how the story concludes. The three series highlighted here are all well-loved by fans and hold a special place in their hearts.
Plus, even though these series are nearing their conclusion, fans aren’t quite ready for them to end. Thankfully, it’s reassuring to see that none of these manga seem to be heading for a hurried or disappointing finale – something that unfortunately happens with many popular shows.
3) Sakamoto Days

Yuto Suzuki’s popular manga, Sakamoto Days, which appears in Weekly Shonen Jump, started in November 2020 and quickly became known as one of the best action-comedy series. While there’s no official end date yet, the manga began its final arc in July 2025. Sakamoto intends to take control of the JAA and expand his shop into a nationwide business, as he continues to be targeted by the organization and wants to protect those around him.
Although it seems far-fetched now, Shin and his team are committed to the effort. The current storyline, focusing on the New JAA, shows the country falling into chaos because of a cunning plan by Kei Uzuki, which has caused society to crumble. Taro Sakamoto and his friends need to work together and stop him before everything is lost.
2) Yona of the Dawn

After 16 years, Kusanagi Mizuho’s popular fantasy romance manga is coming to an end. Just as fans were hoping for news about a second season of the anime, the manga began its final storyline last June, with Yona, Hak, Yoon, and the Four Dragon Warriors returning to Hiryuu Castle.
The series will conclude with just two more chapters, and the final chapter will be released on December 19th, 2025. Although the announcement of the ending date surprised many fans who feared a hurried conclusion, creator Kusanagi Mizuho assured everyone that she’s been working on the finale for some time and was ready to share the news.
1) Black Clover

The manga Black Clover began its final story arc in 2022 and moved to a quarterly release schedule in Jump GIGA in 2023. A recent issue of Jump GIGA (Fall 2025) announced the manga is approaching its ‘super climax,’ which usually means a series will end within a few months. Therefore, it’s likely Black Clover will conclude sometime next year, after being published for 11 years.
I’ve been watching Asta and Yuno work together against the series’ biggest threat, and it’s clear why everyone believes in them as future Wizard Kings. Their battle with Lucius Zogratis is heading towards a climax, with allies joining the fight. However, we’re still left wondering how anyone can actually defeat someone as seemingly invincible as Lucius, and I’m eager to see the answer.
