Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. The next season of Jujutsu Kaisen is almost here, and it’s shaping up to be even more intense than the already shocking Shibuya Incident Arc. Our heroes are dealing with the fallout from that event while also trying to rescue Satoru Gojo. However, Kenjaku has a plan to make things incredibly difficult, forcing sorcerers into a deadly competition called the Culling Game. This season will be especially challenging for Yuji Itadori, who has already faced immense hardship.
Even after facing some really tough losses, the young sorcerer is determined to keep fighting the bad guys. The newest trailer gave us a quick look at just three of the battles he’ll be facing in the next season. I saw it on December 20th, 2025, when the Jujutsu Kaisen team presented it at Jump Festa 2026. It’s a huge anime and manga convention put on by Shueisha every year – a two-day event where they announce all sorts of exciting news about popular Shonen series from their magazines.
3) Yuji Itadori vs. Haba and Hanyu
The trailer offered just a quick look at the fight, without revealing who Hanyu and Haba are. The scene shows Hanyu unexpectedly attacking Yuji, smashing him through two buildings. This leads to a battle with two new sorcerers who were forced into the Culling Game and thought Yuji and other new players would be easy targets. But Yuji proved them wrong, defeating both of them on his own before continuing to the next fight.
2) Yuji Itadori vs. Kinji Hakari
In the next season, Yuji and his friends will turn to Hakari for help with saving Gojo. However, Hakari immediately attacks Yuji, suspecting him of being a spy from Jujutsu High and refusing to hear him out. Hakari and Kirara Hoshi, both third-year students, were previously suspended for causing trouble and were unaware of how serious things had become at Jujutsu High. Their fight is eventually stopped, and Hakari, impressed by Yuji’s strong resolve, finally agrees to listen to what he has to say.
1) Yuji Itadori vs. Yuta Okkotsu
The rivalry between these two characters has been hinted at for some time, and the latest trailer offers another look at their upcoming battle. Yuta assures his superiors he intends to eliminate Yuji, but he seems to have a different plan in mind for his classmate. This fight will be a major focus of the first two episodes of the new season, showcasing Yuta’s incredible abilities. His sheer cursed energy is so overwhelming that he easily dominates Yuji, as well as Choso and Naoya Zenin, simply by being present.
