30 Years Later, This “Non-Stop, Action-Packed” Cult-Classic Action Movie Lands on Free Streaming

It arrived in 1995, following the success of Rodriguez’s first popular movie, El Mariachi (released in 1992), and was later followed by the classic Once Upon a Time in Mexico in 2003. Desperado brings back Antonio Banderas as El Mariachi, continuing his journey for revenge as he confronts a notorious drug lord in Mexico. The Mexico Trilogy Is an Action-Packed Classic

It’s hard not to enjoy the Mexico trilogy! El Mariachi first showed audiences the talents of Robert Rodriguez, who created a fast-paced action movie with very little money. In fact, El Mariachi was famously made for only $7,000. Carlos Gallardo played the main character in the first film, before Antonio Banderas took on the role for the remaining movies in the trilogy.

Deciding which film is best in this trilogy really comes down to personal preference. Some people love the raw, low-budget style of El Mariachi, while others prefer the bigger scale and higher production values of Desperado.
