I’ve always been totally captivated by vampires – they’re just such cool supernatural creatures. While books and movies are great, video games really let you feel what it’s like to be one. I remember getting hooked ever since playing Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption, and I’ve been searching for that experience ever since. It’s weird though, because even though vampires are so popular, really good games about them have been hard to find. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 didn’t quite hit the mark, but thankfully, 2026 looks like it’s finally going to deliver the vampire games we’ve all been waiting for.
2026 looks like a fantastic year for vampire game enthusiasts! There’s a great variety of titles coming out, offering something for everyone. Whether you enjoy intense online role-playing games, story-rich adventures, exploring detailed worlds, or fast-paced, unpredictable challenges, you’ll find a vampire game to love. These four upcoming games are the biggest highlights for fans and are all scheduled for release in 2026.
4) The Duskbloods

Fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of The Duskbloods, especially since it’s FromSoftware’s first big game after the success of Elden Ring and Armored Core VI. Originally announced as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the initial trailer sparked speculation that it might be connected to Bloodborne. However, the game’s name reveal and the subsequent lack of information have only heightened the mystery. Beyond the trailer and a planned 2026 release, FromSoftware has only offered glimpses of a dark, atmospheric world with strong vampire influences.
FromSoftware is teasing a new game set in a dark, gothic world with a strong, unsettling atmosphere. It’s a multiplayer action game inspired by vampires, and will feature both player-versus-environment and player-versus-player combat, along with elements of extraction gameplay – meaning you’ll be fighting to secure and escape with rewards. If the rumors are true, The Duskbloods could be FromSoftware’s biggest and most complex multiplayer game yet, building on the success of Elden Ring Nightreign. It appears to be taking the studio’s famously challenging combat and mysterious storytelling and adding new features focused on competitive player interaction.
Despite being initially available only on the Nintendo Switch 2, The Duskbloods is already shaping up to be a major vampire game release this year. Fans are divided on whether it will remain exclusive to Nintendo platforms, similar to Bloodborne, or if it will eventually be released on other systems. Until the developers at FromSoftware officially announce their plans, speculation is rampant, but most agree that The Duskbloods will be one of the most talked-about vampire games of 2026.
3) Vampire Crawlers

As a huge fan of Vampire Survivors, I was so excited to hear about Vampire Crawlers! It basically takes everything I loved about the original – that addictive gameplay and endless replayability – and puts it into a dungeon-crawling format. Think procedurally generated levels, super-fast action, and a ton of ways to build your character with both close-up and long-range attacks. It seems like it’s designed for anyone, whether you just want to jump in and have fun or really get into perfecting your builds and strategies. I can’t wait to dive in!
Okay, so playing Vampire Crawlers feels really familiar if you’ve played Vampire Survivors. A lot of the enemies and abilities are clearly inspired by that game, but they’ve given everything a fresh look and added a cool deckbuilding RPG element. Honestly, knowing how things worked in Vampire Survivors definitely gives you a leg up, but I think even if you’re new to the series, you can quickly figure out how to combine skills and spells to make some seriously powerful builds. If this game is anything like Vampire Survivors, it’ll be easy to pick up and play, but still offer a good challenge.
Combining the highly addictive gameplay of Vampire Survivors with the strategy of a deck-building roguelike was an unexpected move, but it’s quickly made Vampire Crawlers one of the most anticipated vampire games this year. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, the early demo has generated a lot of positive buzz, and it looks like Poncle has another potential hit on their hands for fans of the genre.
2) The Blood of Dawnwalker

The Blood of Dawnwalker is set in 14th-century Europe, a period marked by war and the devastating Black Death. With humanity weakened, vampires emerge from hiding, seeking power in the crumbling world, and other mythical creatures join them, blurring the line between legend and reality. Players take on the role of Coen, a young man turned Dawnwalker—a being caught between human and vampire. His journey centers around protecting his family, facing the vampire who created him, and grappling with the cost of his transformation.
This game focuses on a story that changes based on your choices. Every decision you make moves the story forward and affects the lives of other characters. You play as Coen, and can choose to be brave, form friendships, search for lost knowledge, or even abandon others as time continues. Because time is limited, your choices about quests, relationships, and the main story really matter, forcing you to consider the consequences of each action. The game is further complicated by the option to play as either a human or a vampire, which adds even more weight to your decisions.
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, players will explore beautifully detailed environments – from forests and plains to swamps and mountains – all marked by the scars of war and disease. Hidden within ancient ruins and lost cities are secrets that deepen the game’s story. As you explore, your choices will shape the main character, Coen, and how the story unfolds. Created by a team of talented developers from CD Projekt RED, known for The Witcher 3, The Blood of Dawnwalker is shaping up to be a standout vampire game for this generation.
1) Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse brings the beloved series back with a new adventure set in Paris in 1499. The city is under attack by terrifying monsters, turning familiar locations into dangerous battlegrounds. Players take on the role of a new hero, a descendant of the famous Trevor Belmont, wielding the powerful Vampire Killer whip. This new protagonist initially seems to be the child of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades. The game blends the classic Castlevania story with a gritty historical setting, offering a darker and more war-torn world that will appeal to fans of both the original games and the Netflix series.
A key feature of Belmont’s Curse is its revamped whip, which is now more versatile and represents a fresh take on the classic Castlevania gameplay. The Vampire Killer whip lets players swing through levels with smooth, acrobatic movements and quickly jump into battles. The combat system is designed to be creative, encouraging players to try different strategies and perfect their timing. Staying true to Castlevania form, the game also offers a variety of weapons and abilities. Each level challenges players to be resourceful, combining their tools in new ways to overcome enemies.
The game’s environments are dangerous and full of challenges, featuring traps, puzzles, and hidden secrets that test players’ skills and attention to detail. It boasts a fresh, colorful art style that builds on the series’ classic dark aesthetic, taking cues from the Castlevania Netflix show. Fans will find plenty of familiar elements, like secret rooms, interesting characters, tough bosses, and collectible items. By combining updated gameplay with the traditions of the series, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse hopes to appeal to both longtime fans and new players, and could be one of the best vampire games of 2026.
