4 EastEnders spoilers next week: Shock Branning pregnancy and Callum Highway is blackmailed

Next week on EastEnders, several new storylines begin, including a surprising pregnancy for Penny Branning and Vinny Panesar.

I’ve noticed things heating up between them since New Year’s Eve, and now she’s found out she’s pregnant! I can’t help but wonder… could Jack be the father and be there for the baby in about eleven months? It’s so exciting to think about!

Tim Walton (Tom Ratcliffe) continues to manipulate Callum Highway (Tony Clay), setting a trap for him that quickly spirals into a damaging blackmail plot.

Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is struggling with his mental health, and surprisingly, Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) is back – now as an AI chatbot.

Here’s a rundown of what’s happening on EastEnders from Monday, February 23rd, to Thursday, February 26th.

1. Penny Branning falls pregnant with Vinny Panesar’s baby

Life in Albert Square continues as usual, with many residents enjoying a Sunday roast. Meanwhile, Jack Branning gets a surprising shock when he finds a pregnancy test.

He teams up with Denise Fox to investigate who a baby item belongs to, and mistakenly believes Lily Slater is pregnant again. Lily gets very upset and insists she’s not expecting, which leads Penny to reveal that the item is actually hers.

She took the test and told her family it came back negative, but that wasn’t true. Jack was secretly relieved he wouldn’t be a grandfather again so soon. However, when he found out Penny was actually pregnant, she angrily confronted him for how he’d reacted.

Penny is talking to Lauren about her worries regarding becoming a mother and how much her life would change. Meanwhile, Jack realizes he’s made a mistake and tries to apologize, but ends up accidentally upsetting her again.

Oscar, known for getting involved in other people’s business, accidentally reveals to Vinny that his cousin is worried about a possible pregnancy.

He hurried to be with her and then accompanied her to the doctor’s appointment to talk about her choices. Penny was annoyed when the doctor spoke to her partner directly, explaining the support available if she chose to continue the pregnancy, rather than addressing her directly.

This baby is probably Ethan, the mysterious new member of the Branning family we met in last month’s episode showing the future. We saw he was with Jack, but it’s unclear why. What was happening with Penny at the same time?

So many questions, such little answers…

2. Callum Highway and Johnny Carter are blackmailed by Tim Walton

Callum is upset after receiving a letter from his soon-to-be ex-husband, Ben Mitchell. He shared with Kathy Beale that he’s now prepared to end their marriage.

Linda Carter believes her son Johnny is about to be heartbroken. She then runs into Tim and they have a fight about Callum. Tim reveals he’s planned a test to show everyone his true character.

Following advice from Kathy and Ian Beale about respecting Ben’s wishes for their daughter, Lexi, the group set off – only to discover Tim had tricked them.

Johnny is shocked that Callum actually did what Ben asked. Things quickly fall apart when Tim shows up with video evidence that proves Callum did something wrong.

Johnny’s relationship is falling apart, and he hopes he can fix things with Tim. He’s shocked and upset when Tim suggests the only way to resolve their issues would be to become intimate.

What will Callum and Johnny do?

3. Ravi Gulati spirals after being unable to retrieve Nugget’s medication

Ravi, after a difficult period, is eager to turn his life around and hopes a job at the car lot will help. He anticipates interviewing with Lauren Beale, but is surprised when her father, Max, shows up for the interview instead.

When his girlfriend, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), unintentionally hurts his feelings, things take a turn for the worse and he starts looking for a new job.

Mark Fowler, played by Stephen Aaron-Sipple, tries to get some extra work for Ravi, but his plans are interrupted when his son, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), has another seizure. While rushing to the pharmacy for Nugget’s medication, Mark gets increasingly frustrated when there’s an issue with the prescription.

Ravi felt he’d let his dog, Nugget, down again, so he locked the door and insisted everyone stay until Nugget received his medication.

Denise, Nugget, and Bea Pollard, played by Ronni Ancona, are stuck inside with the pharmacist and are starting to worry about him.

Will Ravi be ok?

4. Denzel Danes introduces Patrick Trueman to an AI version of Anthony

Even though Anthony died at Christmas, he’s unexpectedly coming back to Walford next week – in a way.

Denzel Danes notices Patrick is having a hard time dealing with his loss, and remembers something Tommy Moon said that might offer some comfort.

He’s been quietly building an AI version of their deceased doctor, and eventually shows it to Kim Fox and Yolande Trueman. Patrick sees his son appear on the screen and is deeply upset, immediately leaving the room.

Later that night, he came back and requested to talk to the AI recreation of his son. Yolande made it clear she disapproved.
