4 Emmerdale spoilers next week: John Sugden tries to kill Aaron Dingle in clifftop terror as Robert Sugden is framed

Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) experiences a terrifying moment as his sinister half-brother, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), forces Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) over the edge of a cliff, right before Robert’s eyes.

As Robert finds himself in the frame for John’s despicable crime, will Aaron survive?

Elsewhere, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) attends her first baby scan.

However, Charity may struggle under the weight of private uncertainties about whether it’s truly her own child or granddaughter Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill). Will these doubts lead to Charity’s collapse under the pressure?

Further down the line, Kammy Hadiq (also known as Shebz Miah) uncovers a secret that Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) had kept hidden. This revelation leads to a series of troublesome events.

1. John Sugden pulls Aaron Dingle off a cliff with him

In simpler terms, Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) becomes worried after Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) expresses concerns about John’s safety. She then attempts to reach out to John herself and enlists Paddy’s aid in searching for him if necessary.

However, unbeknownst to them, it’s John who poses a threat to others, while Aaron, his husband, is attempting another getaway from the cottage.

While they may not realize it, John is actually harmful to others, and Aaron, his spouse, is making another run from the cottage.

or

Though they might be unaware, it’s John who could hurt others, while Aaron, his partner, is trying to slip away again from the cottage.

At last, Robert appears, levies charges against John for homicide. However, John stands firm in his resistance, and following a violent scuffle, Robert lies motionless on the ground, giving off an air of having no vitality left.

John finds Robert is still breathing, and he’s relieved not to have killed again.

However, as John spots Aaron attempting to flee, Aaron, visibly distraught, searches for a hidden exit in the forest that leads to Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) mysterious disappearance. Pursuing him, John catches up with Aaron at the brink of a vast chasm.

Aaron encounters John, but now Aaron realizes that everything John is saying might be untrue, since John seems to be weaving a web of deception.

Aaron meets up with John, but now he has reasons to believe that John isn’t telling the truth, as it appears John is trying to deceive him.

Aaron encourages John to accompany him to Mack, however, right when it seems that John is about to disclose his situation to the police, Robert suddenly shows up.

After feeling deceived, John alleges that Aaron arranged for Robert’s arrival, and subsequently reports the situation to the authorities with an intention to implicate Robert.

John then grabs Aaron and jumps into the gorge with him, leaving Robert screaming in terror.

Seeing John and Aaron unconscious at the bottom of the gorge, Robert dials 999…

2. Chas Dingle blames Robert Sugden for John’s latest crime

Robert is defeated when no one believes him that John is behind all that has happened.

Lucy Pargeter’s character, Chas Dingle, is certain that Robert was responsible for pushing Aaron and John off the cliff, and she publicly declares her intention to exact retribution from him.

It seems Robert has a history of actions, but isn’t it questionable whether Chas believes that, given everything they’ve experienced together, Robert would put Aaron in danger?

It appears that, according to Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), the entire Dingle clan has no further interest in associating with the Sugdens.

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) agrees, and Vic leaves in tears.

Meanwhile, Robert is waiting to be interviewed at the police station, and he’s terrified for Aaron.

Has John killed Aaron and left Robert to take the blame? Is John dead?

With Aaron now the only one who can back up Robert’s version of events, where does that leave him?

3. Charity Dingle buries her fears at first baby scan

In a delightful twist, Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe-Warren Plant) arranges an unexpected ultrasound examination appointment earlier than scheduled for both Sarah and Charity.

However, since Charity slept with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), she is unsure whether the pregnancy is her own, following the assumed failure of the embryo transfer, or a result of the surrogacy agreement.

Unseen by Sarah and Jacob, there’s a dark fear within Charity as she looks at the screen.

Afterward, Jacob and Sarah astonish when they display the ultrasound picture to Ross. Trying hard to conceal his shock, Ross examines what could very well be a sonogram of his own offspring.

How long can Charity contain her secret?

4. Kammy Hadiq confronts Vinny Dingle’s tormentor

Kammy wonders about the situation with Vinny, who, after much hesitation, admits that ‘Mike’ assaulted and threatened him with exposure.

Kammy’s extremely upset upon learning about his friend’s ordeal, yet Vinny persists in not reaching out to the authorities.

So Kammy takes action, signing up for the LGBTQ+ forum where Vinny met Mike with a plan in mind.

But as Kammy meets with Mike, will he make things worse?

Simultaneously, Gabby Thomas (played by Rosie Bentham), Vinny’s unaware fiancée, finds herself growing frustrated because neither her mother Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) nor Kim Tate (Claire King) have decided to attend their upcoming wedding.

With no one to walk her down the aisle, what will Gabby do next?
