4 New Day One Xbox Game Pass Releases Confirmed for June Ahead of Xbox Games Showcase

Xbox has seen some big changes recently, including new leadership and a fresh approach to its brand. Fans are especially excited for the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th at 1 PM Eastern Time, hoping to see what’s next. Before that event, Xbox Game Pass has announced its first set of new games for June, with four titles available to subscribers on day one. With all these updates happening now, it’s probably just a preview of more exciting things to come from Xbox in the near future.

I was checking the Xbox Wire blog for the usual Game Pass news, and they threw in a little tease about the Xbox Games Showcase! It’s cool to see they’re using the new ‘XBOX’ logo – it feels like a throwback to when I first started gaming. The teaser didn’t reveal much about the showcase itself, though with the recent delay, I’m a little worried we might not get a huge look at Fable like we were hoping. But the good news is, the post confirmed at least four brand new games are coming to Game Pass on day one in June 2026! That’s what I really wanted to hear.

Xbox Game Pass June Lineup Delivers 4 New Day One Releases

New games for Xbox Game Pass are usually revealed in stages, so we can expect even more announcements for June. Even if the Xbox Showcase on Sunday doesn’t bring any surprises, more games will likely be added. Today’s announcement only covers games coming to the service up to June 16th, and honestly, the list isn’t very impressive. This makes it seem even more likely that some exciting games will be revealed during the showcase. Still, there are a few already announced games that will be available to play on day one.

The eagerly awaited survival game, Solarpunk, will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting June 8th. This cozy game takes place on floating islands and will be included with both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. As one of the year’s most anticipated new survival games, it’s a great addition to the Game Pass library.

The unique game Beastro, which combines deckbuilding with life simulation, will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting day one. It’s a cooking game where you create magical dishes to help adventurers. Originally planned for release in May, Beastro is now launching on June 11th, and will be available on both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at the same time.

Good news for science fiction fans! Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions will be available to play immediately on June 11th as part of Game Preview, coinciding with its Early Access launch on Steam. In this game, you’ll team up with other players on a space station to maintain operations and overcome the challenges of space. It’s included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Completing the lineup of games available on launch day is Junkster, a 3D action platformer, arriving on June 16th. It will be added to both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, so subscribers can start building and exploring right away.

Xbox Game Pass is kicking off June with a handful of interesting, though smaller, games. I expect we’ll hear about more additions during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th, including games coming soon and further in the future. Either way, we’re likely to get some news from Xbox, so if you’re a fan of franchises like Halo and Fable, it’s worth watching the showcase on Sunday.
