4 Pokemon Legends: Z-A Questions the Mega Dimensions DLC Needs to Answer

After completing the main story of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, there’s still a lot to do in the game. However, it’s hard not to wonder about the loose ends and unanswered questions. Luckily, the first DLC, Mega Dimensions, was announced very early on, and we know more story content is coming in February 2026. That’s a long wait, so I plan to spend the time thinking about everything that’s left unresolved when the credits finish rolling on Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

The ending of Pokemon Legends: Z-A is pretty good and feels like a fitting conclusion to the story, even without voice acting. It’s a dramatic and satisfying climax to the battle against the main villain and the threat to Lumiose City – it even made me a little emotional seeing all my Pokemon friends help out! However, after the initial excitement, I realized a few things weren’t fully explained. Hopefully, the Mega Dimensions DLC will address these questions, as this might be the only story expansion for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. I’m really hoping The Pokemon Company will provide some closure on these four unanswered points.

4. What Were We Originally Planning to Do in Lumiose City?

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the story starts as soon as we arrive in Lumiose City by train. We’re quickly caught up in a situation with Urbain/Taunie and Team MZ, even ending up staying at Hotel Z based on their suggestion. It makes me wonder – did our character just show up in the city without any plans for a place to stay? And what were we originally intending to do in Lumiose City before getting involved in the battle royale and the mystery surrounding Mega Pokemon?

In games like Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the main character often feels like a blank slate. We usually have some idea of why they’re doing what they’re doing – past Pokemon heroes were typically students or trainers aiming to conquer gyms. But in this game, it’s unclear why we’re in Lumiose City. Are we just tourists? The game doesn’t explain, and we don’t question joining Urbain/Taunie on their journey. I’d love to know more about our character’s backstory – what brought us to Lumiose, and where we came from, especially since we’re starting with no Pokemon. It might be a long shot, but I’m hoping the game will eventually provide some answers.

3. What Exactly is Going on With Jett and Quasartico, Inc.?

We meet the President of Quasartico Inc., alongside Urbain/Taunie, right away in Lumiose City. She has an ad about the city’s redevelopment, which seems important for the story. This made me expect her to be a major character, but mostly we interact with her assistant, Vinnie. Jett appears occasionally, most memorably when the player helps her escape an angry mob. It leaves you wondering what her true intentions are.

It’s clear that Quasartico created the Wild Zones and was aware of the Rogue Mega events. While the extra missions after the main story shed some light on her relationship with Urbain/Taunie, many mysteries remain. We still don’t know Quasartico’s ultimate goal, or if Jett will be more important than it initially seemed. Hopefully, the upcoming story DLC, Mega Dimensions, will reveal more about all of this.

2. What’s Next for Team Flare Nouveau?

Team Flare Nouveau is a welcome and unexpected addition to the end of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This duo operates a food truck while also secretly hoping to continue Team Flare’s goals. By the final battle, Grisham and Griselle appear unsure of their future. They might continue with their food truck in Lumiose City, or they could try to build a new life free from the Team Flare name.

I was really invested in these characters and found it interesting how they connect to previous villains without appearing evil themselves. I’m eager to see what happens to them next, and I hope the story doesn’t just have them return to their ordinary lives running a coffee truck.

What Really Happened to Taunie/Urbain’s Mother?

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, your friend and friendly competitor often talks about coming to Lumiose City to look for a specific person. They actually met Emma, the town’s famously fast-running detective, while searching. Though the main story doesn’t reveal who they were looking for, the post-game content does.

After the credits roll, we learn the person everyone was searching for is actually Jett, the protagonist’s grandmother. However, the mystery surrounding their mother remains unsolved. The story hints she died somewhere outside of the Kalos region, possibly involving some kind of dimensional travel. If this important detail isn’t explained in the upcoming story, Mega Dimensions, many fans – including me – will likely be disappointed.
