McKay is a captivating protagonist, a flawed individual who discovers what’s truly important in life as he travels, and the supporting characters are equally well-developed with their own personal arcs. It’s a truly compelling series that expertly blends imaginative concepts with realistic character development, and it would instantly grab viewers’ attention.

2) Saga

Okay, let’s talk about Saga. It was always going to be on my list, and for good reason. Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples crafted something truly special with this comic. We meet Marko and Alana, soldiers from enemy sides who fall in love and have a daughter, Hazel, right in the middle of an intergalactic war. It’s a story about family, but it’s also about being hunted, and the sheer emotional weight of it all is incredible. The characters are phenomenal – seriously, one of the best casts I’ve ever seen in a comic. Now, I’ll admit, the delays on the book are a little worrying – we don’t want another Game of Thrones situation where things are left unfinished. But honestly, this story needs to be adapted for TV or film. It’s just too good to stay in comic book form, and maybe a show would even motivate Vaughan and Staples to finally finish the series!

East of West is widely considered one of the best comics published by Image. Created by Jonathan Hickman and Nick Dragotta, the story is set in a divided America, fractured into seven nations after the Civil War. The conflict unexpectedly stops when a terrifying prophecy about the end of the world is revealed, and both sides strangely work to fulfill it. Things get even more complicated with the arrival of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who begin to clash when Death falls in love with the daughter of a powerful leader. This sets the stage for a final, devastating war as the prophecy nears its completion.

East of West is a fantastic science fiction comic that blends Western themes with a post-apocalyptic world where magic and technology coexist. It’s filled with compelling characters and unique ideas, and the artwork is stunning, featuring some truly terrifying creatures. This series has the potential to be a major hit as an HBO show and could easily become one of the greatest TV series ever made if it lives up to the quality of the comic.
