Avengers: Secret Wars could be a No Way Home reunion with Deadpool

Recent online discussions suggest these films could be even bigger than Spider-Man: No Way Home, bringing together an even more extensive cast of heroes and villains.
A reliable source, MyTimeToShineHello, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that all three Spider-Men and Deadpool will be back for the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie, and they’ll have significant roles. This fits with the expected storyline of Secret Wars, which is rumored to involve multiple universes colliding. While Deadpool’s suit sometimes leads to confusion with Spider-Man, the combination of the three established Spider-Man characters with Deadpool’s unpredictable and humorous personality could be very entertaining.
Getting all three actors who’ve played Spider-Man in live-action movies back together would be amazing, and including Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool would make for an unprecedented team-up. This idea is gaining traction alongside reports about how big the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ movie will be. According to industry insider Alex Perez, there’s a strong possibility ‘Secret Wars’ will actually be released as two separate films.
Perez mentioned that production, previously planned for this summer, might be pushed back. This is because the project is now in a preliminary phase, which often occurs when a film’s direction changes significantly – like when a single movie is expanded into two. Although a final decision won’t be made until after ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is released, the possibility of splitting ‘Secret Wars’ into two films demonstrates the ambitious scale of the story Marvel is trying to create.
Avengers: Secret Wars, directed again by the Russo Brothers, is planned to hit theaters on December 17, 2027, after the release of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026.
