WWE regularly promotes promising talent from its developmental brand, NXT, to the main roster, and recently announced that Lash Legend will be joining the SmackDown brand as part of a new strong team. While the next major draft isn’t scheduled yet, WWE has been calling up NXT performers individually or in small groups when opportunities arise, rather than all at once. Here are four NXT stars who are ready to succeed on both Raw and SmackDown and deserve a promotion right away.
4. Trick Williams

Trick Williams has quickly become the defining star of the current NXT era, especially since its rebranding as NXT 2.0. Starting as a skilled talker and ally to Carmelo Hayes, he’s since proven himself as a top champion, even winning a title in TNA. While NXT could still find ways to showcase his talents, it’s the right time for Williams to move up to the main WWE roster.
I previously thought Williams had reached his peak, but I was proven wrong after he won the TNA World Championship and played a key role in their storyline with TNA. While he consistently delivers entertaining performances, he’s accomplished a lot in NXT, experiencing several major storylines. His ability to play both a hero and a villain, and succeed as either a solo performer or in a team, would be a huge asset to Raw or SmackDown. He’s truly a valuable talent. The only reason he’s at the top of this list is because, technically, NXT could still find a way to keep him, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what he does on the main roster next.
3. Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca is a remarkably versatile performer. Since starting in NXT 2.0 as a surfer girl, she’s grown a lot and is now one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch every Tuesday on NXT. She currently has what many consider the best finishing move in WWE, and she’s developed a compelling character – tough enough to be interesting, but still a clear fan favorite.
I’ve been really impressed with her growth, and her tag team work with Zaria has clearly been a big part of that. She’s proven she can shine as both a singles competitor and as part of a team, and honestly, I’d love to see her and Zaria continue to climb the ranks as a tag team. But the writing seems to be hinting at a future rivalry between them, which would be a shame, but good TV. If she does go solo, Monday Night Raw desperately needs some fresh faces. She could really shake things up against established stars like Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Kairi Sane, and potentially even Bayley and the whole Judgement Day crew. Once Liv Morgan returns and they add Raquel Rodriguez, Morgan, and Roxanne Perez to the mix, things will get even more interesting. I’m hoping we see her move up to the main roster – to Raw, specifically – pretty soon.
2. Oba Femi

I’m really hoping we see Oba Femi on Monday Night Raw soon! He was an incredible NXT Champion, holding the title for a massive 272 days, and even after losing it to Ricky Saints, he’s already back in NXT making it clear he wants another shot. If he gets that rematch during the upcoming Gold Rush event, I have a feeling it won’t be long before he finally gets the call up to the main roster – he’s absolutely ready.
Honestly, I was a little shocked Femi hadn’t been called up to the main roster yet. A lot of us figured it would happen after he lost the title to Saints at No Mercy. If he loses to Saints again, I really think they’ll finally move him up, and he’d be incredible on WWE Raw! He could have amazing matches with so many people – AJ Styles, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, CM Punk, Finn Balor, even guys like Rusev, Sheamus, Penta, Otis, and Gunther. Seriously, a Femi vs. Gunther match would be epic! Everyone wants to see that, and I’m really hoping it happens soon.
1. Ethan Page

Any of the three previously mentioned additions would be a great success, but Ethan Page feels like the most likely next signing, as it almost seems like a formality. He’s proven to be incredibly adaptable and can create exciting moments regardless of whether he’s competing for a championship. Currently, he holds two titles, including the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship with Chelsea Green, and their partnership has been a highlight on NXT recently.
Page has been a consistent supporter of Green, even appearing on SmackDown during her pursuit of the WWE Women’s United States Championship and celebrating her impressive win, which earned her a second championship. The dynamic between Page, Green, and Alba Fyre is captivating whenever they appear on television, and Page has seamlessly transitioned to the main roster without needing to compete against the established SmackDown roster. Many believe a full-time move to SmackDown is likely, and it’s expected to significantly enhance the show when it occurs.
