I’m so excited! It’s official – Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece is getting an IMAX release! I first saw it back when it originally came out in 1980, and it still chills me to the bone. With Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, and Danny Lloyd, the movie tells the terrifying story of a father slowly losing his mind while taking care of a spooky hotel with his family. It’s going to be incredible to see it on the big screen again!
IMAX has released a new trailer announcing that The Shining will be shown in IMAX for the very first time beginning December 12th. The trailer highlights classic scenes from the film, including Jack Nicholson’s famous “Here’s Johnny!” line. You can watch it below.
