2XKO is a fighting game that reimagines characters from League of Legends as 2D fighters. It focuses on their unique abilities and emphasizes teamwork to defeat opponents. The game’s first season launched in January 2026 with a roster of well-known champions from the popular MOBA, and the developers plan to add even more characters in future seasons. Several of these potential additions would likely become fan favorites in the fighting game world.
League of Legends boasts a roster of around 170 characters, while 2XKO currently has just 12. While fighting game limitations might make it difficult to include huge or fantastical characters, the inclusion of champions like Teemo shows that developers are willing to push those boundaries. The team behind 2XKO plans to add at least five new characters each year with each new Season, suggesting they already have a clear idea of who they want to add to the game.
5. Jayce

The character designs and customization options in the game 2XKO clearly draw inspiration from Riot’s animated series Arcane, which features reimagined versions of popular League of Legends characters like Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, and Ekko. Adding Jayce to the game in a future season would be a great fit. He could be a powerful, unique fighter utilizing his signature hex-tech hammer, delivering strong attacks reminiscent of characters like Braum or Darius, but with a technological edge.
Jayce is a character who fights by launching projectiles and electricity from his hammer, and can also create protective shields. This combination of abilities would make him a unique fighting game character, similar to a mix of Shao Kahn and Raiden from Mortal Kombat, allowing players to switch between strategic, defensive play and powerful, offensive attacks. Like in League of Legends, Jayce could build up a special meter in 2XKO to temporarily boost his hammer’s power, adding lightning-enhanced attacks.
4. Yone

Yone is a new samurai character who, like Yasuo, is a skilled swordsman already featured in 2XKO. He shares a similar dynamic with characters like Akuma and Ryu from Street Fighter, or Vergil and Dante from Marvel vs Capcom 3 – being a darker, contrasting version of an existing fighter. While Yasuo fights with precise control, Yone uses a more aggressive, demonic style, wielding two blades to deliver sweeping, far-reaching attacks.
Yone already includes moves reminiscent of other fighting games, like his ‘Soul Unbound’ ability, inspired by League of Legends. This move lets Yone send out a spirit form to attack from a distance while his body stays put. This spirit projection could be visually similar to the ‘Stand’ characters in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Heritage to the Future, or the ‘Personas’ used in Persona 4: Arena. Ultimately, Yone feels like a natural fit for 2XKO in terms of both how he plays and his overall style.
3. Akali

Akali, a character from League of Legends, sparks strong reactions from players – some love her, others don’t. However, her skills would translate perfectly to a fighting game. As a quick and agile assassin, she’s ideal for a “rushdown” style of play, focusing on fast attacks to overpower opponents. Fast-paced characters are essential in tag team fighters, and games like 2XKO (with characters like Ekko and Vi) already demonstrate the kind of gameplay Akali could have if she’s added in a future season.
As a huge Akali fan, I’m so excited about the possibility of her joining 2XKO! What makes her awesome is her crazy mobility – she can teleport and even turn invisible! Plus, she throws kunai that slow enemies down, giving you a real edge in battle. There’s so much potential for cool combos and strategies with her kit, like how she can mark opponents to quickly close the distance or boost her damage for a short time. Honestly, she’d be unlike anyone else in the game – a super-fast, high-risk, high-reward character, a real glass cannon!
2. Fiddlesticks

Fiddlesticks is one of the most unique champions in League of Legends, embodying an ancient, demonic presence that feeds on fear. His tall, thin scarecrow design is reminiscent of Faust from Guilty Gear Strive, sharing that game’s unsettling character aesthetic. In a fighting game like 2XKO, Fiddlesticks would be a terrifying opponent, using his scythe for powerful attacks and unsettling movement across the arena.
Fiddlesticks has several moves that would work well in a fighting game like 2XKO, including a powerful ultimate ability called Crowstorm. This move could be used as a special attack, summoning crows to constantly damage opponents. He could also bring abilities from his League of Legends design, like inflicting fear or draining enemy health, to make him a strong fighter. Adding a frightening character like Fiddlesticks to 2XKO would also be a good thing, giving players more diverse options, similar to how Warwick expanded the roster in Season 1.
1. Viktor

Okay, so Viktor’s become super popular since Arcane dropped, but honestly, even before the show, he felt like a perfect fit for a fighting game. At first glance, his powers – like shooting projectiles and beams – seem pretty standard ‘keep-away’ stuff, kinda like how Jinx plays in 2XKO. But if you’ve seen Arcane and play 2XKO, you start to see how his other abilities could really make him stand out and give him a unique personality in the game. It’s exciting to think about how they could translate!
As a Viktor main, I’ve always thought his kit felt inspired by some classic fighting game characters! His Gravity Field is super similar to how Magneto controls the battlefield in Marvel vs Capcom, or even Storm’s wind powers in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. And his ultimate, Arcane Storm? It totally reminds me of Ed’s Super Art from Street Fighter 6 – laying down those hazards while still letting you move and fight. Honestly, the way Viktor combines those arcane attacks with controlling the stage feels like they took inspiration from some of the best tag-team characters ever designed. It’s a really cool mix of abilities!
Viktor, with his unique look and how he plays, could be a perfect addition to the next installment of the fighting game. As Season 2 of 2XKO aims to bring exciting new content, the next character needs to immediately grab players’ attention, and Viktor would do just that.
