Life on Coronation Street remains full of twists and turns, and the week following the recent, well-received crossover with Emmerdale brings even more storylines to explore.
Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) might finally face consequences when her angry daughter, Betsy (Sydney Martin), comes to visit her in prison. Meanwhile, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is dealing with the fallout from Billy Mayhew’s (Daniel Brocklebank) death, as someone in town holds her responsible.
But will she listen to brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) and plead guilty?
Meanwhile, new character Jodie (Olivia Frances Brown) quickly settles in with the Platts, and Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) worries she might be expecting a baby with her student, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).
Here’s what you can expect to see on Coronation Street from Monday, January 12th to Friday, January 16th.
5 Coronation Street spoilers for next week
1. Betsy Swain visits Becky in prison

I was absolutely floored when I found out Becky was trying to drag Lisa into her mess. It made me so angry, I immediately went to see Becky’s mother, who’s serving time. Honestly, I didn’t hold back – I told her exactly what I thought of her and her daughter’s actions. It felt good to finally let her know how much damage she’d caused.
Becky is furious, but it’s unclear if she’ll actually do what she threatened. The following day, Carla visits Betsy, who pleads with her to return home. However, Betsy is struggling with the possibility that Lisa may have gotten back together with her ex-wife while she was away.
2. David and Shona Platt have a new housemate

I’ve been keeping an eye on David and Shona all week, and I was completely shocked when Jodie suddenly told them she’d been in the same car crash! It was a real bombshell. She was discharged from the hospital, but things quickly took a turn – she started having a panic attack, and I could see David was really worried, especially when he found out she didn’t have anywhere to go.
He drove her back to number 8 and introduced her to Bethany and Lily, who immediately seemed to like her. It quickly became apparent that Jodie was settling in and becoming comfortable.

After David and Shona get back from seeing their daughter Harper, they discover she’s had a disagreement with Nick. They notice a bruise on her wrist, but Jodie is hesitant to talk about it, only revealing that she was trying to get away from a harmful relationship.
Is she being honest, or is there a hidden story about her relationship with Graham Foster?
The following day, David and Shona were watching Harper when an alarm went off, revealing she needed a blood transfusion immediately. Will she pull through?
3. Carl Webster pressures Debbie into confessing

I was completely hooked watching Ryan pore over the hotel’s finances – it turned out Carl had been secretly diverting funds into his personal account for months! Ryan filled Debbie in on everything, and she, understandably upset, eventually confronted her brother about what he’d been doing. It was a tense scene, to say the least.
Ronnie is anxious because his wife might follow a different legal strategy than her lawyer recommends – specifically, he fears she’ll admit responsibility for the accident. He’s especially worried about this happening so soon after their wedding, as he’s afraid of losing her.

Carl is secretly manipulating Debbie, trying to convince her to admit wrongdoing. Despite Kevin and Bernie’s attempts to help, Debbie firmly believes she is responsible for Billy’s death and won’t listen to them.
The following day, Summer was looking for someone to blame and angrily accused her friend, upset to see her laughing with Ronnie.
4. Megan Walsh fears she may be pregnant with Will Driscoll’s baby

Megan has a tense week as Will becomes increasingly jealous of her growing connection with Daniel. He struggles to hide his anger when he sees them arriving at No. 1 with gifts for Bertie’s birthday.
He eventually loses his temper and stops Megan as she leaves the store, noticing she’s concealing something in her bag. He demands to know if she spent the night at Daniel’s apartment, and she has trouble responding.

During Bertie’s party, Alya looks for candles in her handbag and pulls out a pregnancy test!
But is the potential baby Will’s, or Daniel’s?
I was really shocked the next day when I saw Ken’s car had been vandalized – someone had spray-painted a really nasty symbol all over it. It was so obvious who’d done it, and Megan immediately went off on Will, rightfully calling him out for acting so childish.

She’s going through a difficult time and seeks peace at Victoria Gardens. Leanne and Eva discover she’s upset, but it’s unclear if she’ll share what’s bothering her.
5. Todd Grimshaw and Summer Spellman struggle with his grief for Billy Mayhew

Theo feels terrible about Billy’s death and reluctantly allowed Summer to move in. When Summer returns home with a photo of Billy, asking to display it at his funeral, Theo has to pretend to be supportive, despite his inner turmoil.
Todd is lost for words trying to write Billy’s eulogy, and Summer collapses in tears when the ambulance brings Billy’s body to the funeral home.
Will the truth ever be outed?
