5 EastEnders spoilers next week: Joel Marshall hides out after Vicki Fowler attack and Harry Mitchell is trapped

Next week, Joel Marshall (played by Max Murray) will face repercussions for his violent attack on Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig). Will he be held accountable for his actions?

Harry Mitchell, played by Elijah Holloway, is captured and held prisoner by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Tobias “Okie” Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu).

Good news for Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) – he finally gets a date with Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness)! Meanwhile, Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) is determined to cheer up Julie (Karen Henthorn).

But for Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), an almighty error leaves him unemployed!

1. Joel Marshall hides out as Vicki Fowler is hospitalised after attack

Ross Marshall, played by Alex Walkinshaw, says he’s sorry to Joel for a previous fight, not knowing that Joel has just hurt Vicki.

Vicki goes to The Queen Vic for assistance. Meanwhile, Tommy Moon, also known as Sonny Kendall, offers to help Joel, but Joel minimizes how badly he hurt Vicki.

Tommy shelters Joel in the garage of his neighbors, the Slaters, but his half-sister, Zoe, suspects something isn’t right and attempts to reason with him.

Tommy refuses to say where Joel is. Meanwhile, Ross is shocked to hear about what happened to Vicki and attempts to stop people from speculating that Joel was involved.

Ross felt a wave of relief at the hospital when he learned Vicki would be okay. However, as the week went on, Vicki and Ross began to argue about Joel, and a tense atmosphere developed between them.

She’s later stunned to learn of some developments in her case, but what will become of Joel?

2. Harry Mitchell kept prisoner by Ravi Gulati and Tobias “Okie” Okyere

When Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) can’t find Harry, he goes to George Knight (Colin Salmon) for help. George assures him that Harry is safe and is being looked after by Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).

Teddy and Gina Knight are relieved when Harry calls, believing everything is okay. However, they don’t realize Okie and Ravi have actually kidnapped Harry and are making him call under duress.

Harry pleaded to be let go, but Okie wouldn’t agree until Harry told him where the hidden camera was connected.

Gina is hurt that Harry hasn’t contacted her, so her friend Anna Knight attempts to lift her spirits. Gina then leaves Harry a voice message, asking him to explain his silence.

Harry tells Okie where the camera is linked to, and Okie gets Harry’s laptop.

Okie bumps into Gina and when he flirts with her, she gives him her number.

Even though Harry shared information with them, Ravi and Okie still won’t release him. At the same time, Okie receives a warning from other drug dealers about selling drugs in their territory and tells Ravi to handle the problem.

Ravi proposes a vacation for his daughter, Avani Nandra-Hart (played by Aaliyah James), and Okie is delighted to look after things while they’re away.

Even though Ravi told him to release Harry, Okie decided to keep him around, revealing his plan to try and win over Gina.

Okay, so things get a little messy in this episode. Okie really rubs Harry the wrong way by casually mentioning his date with Gina. Meanwhile, Gina’s pulling Anna aside, clearly concerned that something’s up with Harry – she suspects there’s a bigger issue brewing that he’s not letting on. It’s a classic setup – tension building on both sides, and I’m definitely curious to see where it goes.

A broken Harry later takes drugs to escape his reality, as Okie toys with his emotions.

Will Okie’s manipulations be exposed, and will Harry be saved?

3. Oscar Branning bags a date with Jasmine

Oscar continues his mission to impress Jasmine.

As the week progresses, Oscar is delighted when Jasmine accepts his invite for a date.

Will the couple’s romance blossom?

4. Nigel Bates plans a surprise for Julie Bates

Julie helps Lily Slater with her studies, but things become difficult when Nigel accidentally bothers her.

Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) checks on Julie, and the pair have a heart-to-heart.

Nigel is planning a surprise trip to India for Julie, and Oscar advises him to sell his car to pay for it.

Oscar helps Nigel sell his car and proposes one last drive, but Julie reminds Nigel that he’s not allowed to drive anymore.

Okay, so after Jean and Julie shared a drink at The Vic, things got really exciting! Julie was absolutely over the moon when Nigel dropped the bombshell that he was taking her all the way to India. I mean, talk about a plot twist – and a seriously glamorous one at that!

Will it be the holiday of a lifetime?

5. Johnny Carter makes a costly work mistake amid Elaine Knight’s building plans

Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) is shocked by how expensive Teddy’s building estimate is for the renovations at No. 5. She then shares her idea with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) to convert the property into a boutique hotel.

Soon, Elaine turns her attention to grandson Johnny, encouraging him to start his own business.

Johnny wakes up to a terrible realization: after a night of drinking, he accidentally emailed a business proposal to all of his clients – and his boss! He immediately starts to panic.

Later, Johnny tells Callum Highway (Tony Clay) that he’s been sacked.
