EastEnders is set for a dramatic week as the fallout from Nicola and Harry Mitchell drugging Ravi Gulati continues to cause problems.

A troubling situation is developing, and it appears Ravi is involved. The question is, what exactly did he do, and who is impacted by his actions?

Linda Carter’s friend Bea causes trouble for Max Branning, while Patrick Trueman witnesses Jasmine Fisher displaying an unexpectedly aggressive side.

Meanwhile, George Knight (Colin Salmon) has a new chance encounter, and two residents are going on their first date.

1. Ravi Gulati commits a serious incident after being spiked

Following a sneaky plan for revenge by Nicola and Harry, Ravi finds himself waking up on the street with no idea what happened.

Okay, so the movie starts with this guy’s phone finally turning on, and immediately he gets a bunch of really worrying texts. It hits him fast – he’s somehow caused something awful to happen, and it’s completely on him.

Shaken by the news, Ravi tells Priya what happened, but she has a hard time understanding how serious it is. Things get even worse for Ravi when the detectives investigating the case say they need to speak with Priya.

Later this week, Jack becomes more involved in the police’s plan to use him as an informant to gather information about drug activity in London.

2. Newcomer Bea causes a rift between Max Branning and his kids

Bea is adjusting well to life at Peacock Palace and quickly becomes fond of Max. Linda kindly offers to pick up Bea’s remaining things from her old apartment and then go for a drink, but those plans are disrupted when Ollie gets into trouble at school.

Max proposes that Bea go out instead, allowing Linda to focus on her son. Bea is thrilled at the idea of going on a date with the notorious womanizer from Albert Square.

Max is surprised when Bea mistakenly believes their outing is a date, but he pretends to agree to avoid upsetting Linda.

Oscar and Lauren are organizing a memorial event to remember their sister Abi, who passed away eight years ago. They invited Max, and he said he’ll be there after a bit.

Bea is enjoying her evening when she’s upset that he suddenly leaves for a memorial service. Feeling betrayed, she confides in Honey, believing Linda intentionally caused this situation.

As soon as Max arrives, Lauren and Oscar angrily scold him for being late. Everyone comes together to celebrate Abi, but Lauren insists her dad isn’t invited. Hoping to fix things, he gives his children a speech he wrote for the occasion, asking them to deliver it for him.

3. Jasmine Fisher helps Patrick Trueman through his grief

The Trueman family faces a difficult week as they’re told they can finally see Anthony at the funeral home. Patrick is deeply troubled, repeatedly replaying the painful moment he wished his son hadn’t lived.

Noticing he was upset, Yolande encouraged him to reach out and make peace with his newly found granddaughter, Jasmine.

She’s busy looking after Charli for Lily at The Vic pub. When Patrick comes in, she goes downstairs, not realizing the baby monitor has stopped working.

At the bar, Patrick and Jasmine start to connect, but the mood quickly changes when Lily discovers Charli is very upset and angrily confronts Jasmine for not realizing what was happening.

Still upset after their argument, Patrick offers Jasmine a place to stay at his house, number 20. However, he privately tells Yolande he’s concerned about Jasmine’s tendency to become aggressive.

With tensions already running high, Denise asks Jasmine to visit Anthony with the family, which leads to problems when Oscar tries to speak with her. Jasmine turns to alcohol and returns to Walford unsteady on her feet, and Yolande tries to help her recover.

Things come to a head when Chelsea calls out Jasmine for how she’s been acting towards Patrick, and in the process, reveals a surprising and damaging secret about her own father’s past.

4. George Knight has a new business venture

Since leaving The Queen Vic after his divorce from Elaine last year, George has been feeling a bit lost and hasn’t had much to occupy his time.

He applied for a job at Harry’s Barn and unexpectedly began a romantic relationship with the owner, Nicola.

Now that she’s pregnant, he’s told her he plans to buy the vacant restaurant in Walford East, seemingly anticipating the added financial responsibility of a new baby.

5. Penny Branning enjoys her first date with Vinny Panesar

After meeting on New Year’s Eve, Gina notices Penny is interested in Vinny and encourages her to pursue a relationship instead of letting it be a one-time encounter.

It’s about time these two had some happiness!

Later in the week, the two enjoy a date together at Container Junction.
