5 Emmerdale spoilers next week: Bear Wolf in jeopardy and Cain Dingle’s thieving is exposed

Next week on Emmerdale, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) gets into trouble when he breaks the terms of his bail by suddenly going missing. His son, Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt), comes up with a plan to help him, but it’s unclear if it will be successful.

People are starting to question Cain Dingle and Sarah Sugden about the recent car thefts, and Dr. Manpreet Sharma is becoming suspicious of the injuries Laurel Thomas has sustained.

Meanwhile, a new romance is developing, and Jacob Gallagher is seriously ill in the hospital.

5 Emmerdale spoilers for next week

1. Paddy Dingle vies for Bear Wolf’s freedom

A paranoid Bear staggers along a lonely country road, ducking from passing headlights.

Paddy is frantic and exhausted after spending the night worrying about his missing father. Meanwhile, Detective Sergeant Walsh informs him that Bear has violated his bail conditions by attacking Jacob while he was in the hospital, and will be taken into custody when located.

To make matters worse, Paddy finds Bear devastated next to Anya’s (Alia Al-Shabibi) gravesite. He gently convinces his grief-stricken father to return to the car, struggling with what he should do – help Bear or shield him from the pain.

Paddy comes up with a risky plan to afford a stay at a private mental health facility for Bear, hoping to keep him out of prison.

2. Cain Dingle and Sarah Sugden’s car thefts are exposed

Cain’s pride initially prevents him from accepting Lydia’s offer to watch the boys, but once he’s by himself, it becomes clear he’s really missing Moira and finding it hard to cope.

The situation gets worse when he finds out Joe has scheduled a farm inspection due to a possible case of tuberculosis, which will halt all work until the farm is declared safe. Joe then repeats his offer to buy Butler’s Farm completely.

Cain says nothing, but Matty is adamant they should keep the business going for Moira.

Sarah’s grandfather is really struggling financially, and she feels desperate enough to steal another car. Just as she’s about to drive away, Jacob catches her in the act. He’s angry because she’s risking stealing his boss’s car and could ruin his future as a doctor.

He’s hurt that she won’t tell him what’s happening, not knowing Sarah is keeping quiet because Cain made her promise not to reveal his cancer diagnosis. Soon, Charity gets involved, angrily confronting Cain for potentially jeopardizing their granddaughter’s future.

Liam later points out that involving Sarah in a crime like car theft could mean Cain is losing control of keeping his health issues a secret, and that he’s refusing help from the people who care about him.

Sarah finally confronts Cain, telling him she’s tired of carrying the burden of the family’s secrets and accusing him of being a coward for keeping everyone in the dark. With Moira in jail, Joe causing trouble around the farm, and even Graham urging him to sell, Cain is facing mounting pressure.

3. Manpreet Sharma questions Laurel Thomas about her fall

The consequences of Arthur pushing Laurel during their argument are still being felt. At the hospital, Laurel maintains she lost consciousness and fell down the stairs, but Nicola insists doctors investigate a possible medical cause.

As she hunts down a doctor, Arthur is petrified his role is about to be exposed.

Gabby gets worried when Laurel feels dizzy again, and Arthur feels increasingly guilty, believing his actions might be harming her.

Manpreet came over for a visit and immediately asked Gabby and Arthur to leave the room, wanting to find out the truth about what had occurred.

4. Jacob Gallagher feels trapped at work

Oh my gosh, you won’t believe what happened to Jacob at work today! He was totally venting to Pollard about how awful Dr. Todd is as a boss – seriously, she’s a nightmare – and then he turned around and she was right there behind him! It was so embarrassing and awkward, I feel so bad for him!

Todd announced she’d selected Jacob for her mentorship program. Jacob managed a thankful smile, but secretly he was preparing for a potentially challenging experience.

5. Jai Sharma and Kerry Wyatt plan their secret romance

Jai and Kerry are enjoying a secret romance at work. While they have a strong connection when they’re alone, Jai is finding it hard to manage their relationship when others are around.

It seems Kerry has found a way to deal with the situation: playfully tease them at work, then sincerely apologize and make amends privately.
