5 Emmerdale spoilers next week: Robert Sugden makes huge decision as Moira Dingle’s trial arrives

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) might finally have a reason to be hopeful in Emmerdale. New evidence has surfaced that proves she wasn’t part of the human trafficking operation involving Celia Daniels, and this comes just before her trial begins.

It comes as Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) prepares to hand himself in for framing her.

Paddy Dingle is falling apart as Detective Sergeant Walsh begins to suspect that Bear Wolf intentionally killed Ray Walters. At the same time, the intimidating Dr. Todd is scheming against the trusting Jacob Sugden.

Here’s a rundown of what’s happening on Emmerdale from Sunday, April 12th, to Friday, April 17th.

5 Emmerdale spoilers for next week

1. Evidence to help Moira Dingle is found ahead of her court appearance

I just watched the latest episode, and things are really heating up. Robert went to see Bear in prison, desperately trying to get any information that could help with Moira’s case. It’s clear he’s feeling the pressure. Elsewhere, Aaron is consumed with finding evidence – you can really feel his guilt about how Mack is doing, and it’s driving him to do whatever it takes. It’s a tense episode, and both storylines are compelling.

They’re all well aware that time is ticking, and they need to help Moira.

An argument erupts when Paddy angrily confronts Robert about his methods, but the fight is interrupted by Sam’s shocking news: Kyle is missing. Aaron immediately takes charge of the search, and it’s Robert who ultimately discovers Kyle hiding, having overheard Moira’s decision to admit guilt.

Robert, wanting to make amends, makes a daring offer. Aaron is shocked when Robert proposes taking the blame for Moira’s actions, but after initially protesting, he convinces Robert to stay for one final night.

So, I got a real kick when Bear called – apparently he remembered a license plate number he stashed away years ago, something connected to Ray. It felt like a potential lead! But Aaron, smart guy that he is, talked Robert into letting him check it out first. He wanted to do some digging before involving anyone else, which, honestly, I totally get.

Cain urgently tries to convince Moira not to admit guilt, but she’s determined to resolve things quickly so she can return to Kyle and Isaac. Elsewhere, with Kammy’s assistance, police track a license plate to a storage unit in Hotten, prompting Aaron and Robert to rush there in hopes of finding something important.

Seeing endless rows of the same containers started to feel hopeless, but Marlon remembered a key from Celia’s farm. It unlocked the correct container, and inside, they found what looked like a wealth of new clues.

Just as Moira is led into the courtroom, Cain rushes in with urgent news, desperately trying to halt the process. But will he arrive in time to make a difference?

2. Dr Caitlin Todd plots against Jacob Sugden

Jacob feels relieved when Dr. Todd tells him everything is alright between them, but he doesn’t know she’s actually recording a private message describing him as fixated.

He becomes increasingly worried after finding out Todd is moving in with Vanessa at Tug Ghyll. Needing some breathing room, he convinces Rich to switch shifts with him.

His happiness didn’t last long, as he soon found out he’d be working with Todd the next day anyway. Meanwhile, she kept manipulating the situation, managing to make Manpreet believe Jacob was obsessed with her.

3. DS Walsh has a new theory about Bear Wolf

Paddy is still hoping the new evidence will lead to his father being freed. Meanwhile, Bear is shocked during a police interview when DS Walsh shows him bank statements linking his name to money Ray secretly moved into storage unit accounts.

Things get even more complicated when Bear reveals that Ray once promised him he would be looked after – a statement that seems to foreshadow Bear’s own demise. As Walsh explains her belief that Bear and Ray were partners, and that Bear killed Ray to take control, the danger of the situation becomes frighteningly obvious.

Paddy is shocked to discover April will have to testify for the prosecution. Already incredibly stressed, April worries her evidence could lead to Dylan being sent to prison, and Marlon realizes she’ll need a lot of support in the coming days.

4. Charity Dingle is riddled with guilt

Sarah is deeply touched when Charity announces plans for a baby shower in her honour.

Sarah and Jacob thanked everyone, but Charity felt overwhelmed with guilt, haunted by the secret she’d kept from them.

How long will it be before Sarah realises that her grandmother is not carrying her baby?

5. Sparks fly between Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq

Okay, so I definitely picked up on something between Belle and Kammy. There was a real spark there – a definite flirty vibe that makes me think there’s more to their relationship than meets the eye. It’s subtle, but I saw it, and it’s intriguing!

Is this the beginning of an exciting new relationship?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
