5 Major Anime on Netflix Ending This Week

Netflix has quickly become a leading streaming service for anime fans. It’s not only home to a large collection of classic shows, but it also premieres new episodes of many ongoing series each week. Winter 2026 was particularly strong, with a number of excellent new anime episodes becoming available on the platform every week.

The winter 2026 anime season had a lot to offer, and Netflix consistently added new episodes of some of the most popular shows, even if they didn’t have everything. Now that the season is almost over, the anime currently streaming on Netflix are finishing up, with five major series ending their runs just this week.

5) Oshi no Ko Season 3

This week, the anime series Oshi no Ko Season 3 will finish airing on Netflix, with the final episode dropping on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The season finale is expected to be particularly noteworthy, as it will be a full hour long.

What’s especially exciting about this finale is that it kicks off the last part of the story. Using a longer episode to end the season is a great way to wrap things up and get viewers eager for the potential final chapter of the series.

4) Sentenced to Be a Hero

The anime series Sentenced to Be a Hero quickly became a favorite this season, immediately establishing itself as a potential Anime of the Year winner. Over the last 11 episodes, the show followed Xylo Fortbaz as he dealt with the consequences of being labeled the “Hero”—a punishment considered the worst possible. The series will conclude this Thursday, March 26th.

The final episode of Sentenced to Be a Hero promises to be important, as it’s expected to conclude a major storyline that’s been developing recently. The episode will likely reveal how Xylo’s path will change and whether the issues with the uneasy alliance will finally be resolved.

3) Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

The highly popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will conclude this Thursday on Netflix. The finale will be a special extended episode, running three minutes longer than usual. The episode promises an intense battle featuring Yuta as he fights against a group of powerful, ancient sorcerers.

The next episode will cover seven chapters of the original manga, and some fans are worried about whether that’s enough time. However, because these chapters are full of action, the animation studio, MAPPA, might have a good reason for combining them. We’ll see how it all works out on Thursday, when the season’s biggest anime finishes with its final episode.

2) Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2

I’ve been completely captivated by Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End this season – it’s right up there with, or even surpasses, the popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen in my opinion! It’s been such a unique anime. And sadly, it’s wrapping up this Friday! Knowing the show, I fully expect the finale to be another beautifully paced, episodic story – perfectly fitting with everything we’ve seen so far.

Though the season finale of Frieren might not be as spectacular as some other anime endings right now, it’s still a significant episode. It will lay the groundwork for what could happen in a possible third season. You can watch the finale this Friday on Netflix and find out what’s next for this popular show.

1) Hell’s Paradise Season 2

Season 2 of Hell’s Paradise has become one of the most action-packed anime this season, potentially surpassing even Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. It’s also nearing its end and will be one of the last currently running anime to finish on Netflix, with the final episode releasing this Sunday, March 29th.

The finale of Hell’s Paradise is looking to be a major event, shifting the story in a big way. The season has mostly been about individual fights against the Tensen, but the finale promises higher stakes with the introduction of Shugen Asaemon. It could be incredibly intense and full of action! Many fans believe it might be as exciting, or even more so, than the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, making Hell’s Paradise Season 2 a must-watch anime conclusion on Netflix this week.
