The game Pokemon Pokopia has been a huge hit, introducing many players to the cozy game genre. It’s exceeded all expectations – even mine! Currently, it’s a strong contender for the highest-rated game of 2026, right up there with Resident Evil Requiem. While Pokopia is the first major cozy game success of the year, plenty more relaxing and enjoyable games are on the way. Whether you’ve loved cozy games for years or are just discovering the genre thanks to Pokopia, 2026 promises a lot of exciting experiences.
I’ve loved life simulation and management games – anything considered ‘cozy’ – ever since I played classics like Harvest Moon and The Sims 2. So, I always look forward to new releases in this genre. I predict Pokemon Pokopia will be a huge hit and a fan favorite in 2026, but it’s not the only promising cozy game coming out next year. If you enjoy Pokopia, here are 5 other exciting cozy games to watch for in 2026.
5) Witchbrook

Platform(s): PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S
Release Date: 2026 TBD
I used to be incredibly excited for Witchbrook and would have put it at the top of my list. However, the game was initially planned for release in Winter 2025, and I’ve been disappointed by delays before. Until I see a firm release date, I’m skeptical it will actually come out in 2026, so it’s at the bottom of my list now. That said, it’s still a really promising and cozy game I’m looking forward to!
Witchbrook is a charming pixel art life simulation game where you play as a young witch attending magic school. You’ll be able to explore the town, make friends, and even find romance. Early looks at the game are very encouraging, and the fact that it will have multiplayer gives it an edge over Hogwarts Legacy. Currently, Witchbrook is scheduled to come out in 2026, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced.
4)The Last Gas Station

Platform(s): PC
Release Date: Q2 2026
I really enjoyed the demo for this shop management game at the recent Steam Next Fest. It has charming pixel art and a fresh take on the shopkeeping genre. I loved the idea of running a cozy gas station, and I’m excited to play the full game and do it some more!
In The Last Gas Station, you’ll enjoy a compelling cycle of taking orders, receiving shipments, arranging products on shelves, and helping customers both inside and outside the store. There’s also a central mystery that will be revealed as you play. It’s scheduled for release on PC in the second quarter of 2026, and it’s a promising title for fans of management simulation games.
3) InKONBINI: One Store, Many Stories

Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2
Release Date: April 30th, 2026
I’ve been excited about inKONBINI for a while, and it’s now officially coming to both the Switch and the new Switch 2! This is great news for anyone who enjoys playing relaxing games on the go. The game is scheduled to be released on April 30th, so we won’t have to wait long to start playing!
inKONBINI is a relaxing game where you manage a neighborhood convenience store. You’ll handle typical store tasks like stocking shelves and serving customers, but the game also features a story that develops through conversations with those customers. It looks both calming and fun, and should appeal to players who enjoy management games and visual novels.
2) Sunkissed City

Platform(s): PC
Release Date: 2026 TBD
Fans of Stardew Valley are eagerly awaiting this new seaside life simulation game, and with good reason! The developer, Mr. Pondunkian, previously collaborated with the creator of Stardew Valley, and that influence is clear. However, this game is shaping up to be much more than just a copy of its inspiration.
In Sunkissed City, you’ll live in a lively coastal city where you can enjoy farming and much more. You’ll help solve the city’s issues, complete tasks for locals, and uncover a bit of a mystery. It’s a blend of farming simulation, life simulation, and intriguing secrets. The game is currently planned for release in 2026.
1) Moonlight Peaks

Platform(s): PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2
Release Date: July 7th, 2026
Fans have been eagerly awaiting this spooky farming game, and now it finally has a release date! Moonlight Peaks will launch on July 7th for Nintendo Switch, the new Switch 2, and PC. It’s great to see a new farming sim available on multiple platforms, especially one with a supernatural theme.
In Moonlight Peaks, you play as a vampire farmer! The game combines farming with magical elements like potion-making and spellcasting, letting you manage a spooky farm and meet lots of supernatural characters. You can also level up your vampire abilities with a special skill tree. With its adorable 3D art style and a planned release in 2026, Moonlight Peaks is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated cozy games – right up there with Pokopia!
