Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. Just a year after the original series ended, creator Gege Akutami launched a sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, set 68 years after the Culling Game. Illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, the story features a new cast of characters, including the Okkotsu siblings who were briefly introduced at the end of the original series. For decades following Ryomen Sukuna’s defeat, the world enjoyed relative peace, with curses still present but posing no threat on Sukuna’s scale. However, everything changed when over 50,000 Simurians – an alien race possessing powers similar to sorcerers – arrived on Earth as refugees.
This event was considered as dangerous as the powerful Ryomen Sukuna, but the sorcerers weren’t prepared for it – a contrast to the original story. The series depicts a decline in sorcerer strength across generations, which explains why fewer truly powerful characters appear. Although Yuji Itadori and Mahito are present, they’re characters from the original storyline. Here are the five most powerful new characters introduced in this sequel.
5) Yuka Okkotsu

Yuka possesses incredible potential thanks to her mastery of the rare Ten Shadows Technique. However, several factors prevent her from fully realizing it, including a debilitating illness and the fact that her technique is outlawed, forcing her to use it with limitations.
While Yuka isn’t as strong as her grandfather, Yuta, a highly skilled sorcerer, she’s still talented enough to become a powerful first-grade sorcerer with more training. The fact that she represents Earth against Dabura suggests she’s currently more powerful than any other experienced sorcerer alive today.
4) Tsurugi Okkotsu

Tsurugi, like Maki Zenin, possesses a rare physical ability, making him the only one of his generation who could potentially defeat Yuka. Because he has very little cursed energy, he’s dedicated himself to intense physical training to become stronger. Despite being forbidden from fighting Dabura, Tsurugi instead aims his weapon at Maru.
Tsurugi is as talented as his grandmother was, but that great power comes at a cost. Unfortunately, the story ends before he can fully realize his potential, leaving what happens to him after his battle with Maru a mystery.
3) Cross Val Vol Yelvori

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, twins are often considered like one entity, and because Cross never actually fought in the series, it’s hard to know just how strong he is. What is clear, though, is that he’s more powerful than both Okkotsu siblings. When a conflict arose between the Simurians and the sorcerers over cursed spirits, Cross tried to resolve the situation peacefully.
It’s such a shame, but Cross was tragically shot by this sorcerer, Nakamura – a really unstable guy who mistakenly believed Cross was going for a weapon. We’ve heard a little about Cross’s technique, Harmony, but I’m really hoping the story will soon explore exactly how it works. I’m so curious to learn more!
2) Marulu Val Vol Yelvori

From the start, the story suggested Maru was incredibly powerful, but his battle with Tsurugi truly shows what he can do. His unique ability, called Chaos, works especially well with Cross’ Harmony. When Maru activates his third eye, his powers grow dramatically, putting Tsurugi in serious danger.
The young sorcerer lost the first round of the battle badly, but he was able to recover thanks to the magic inherited from his grandparents. Maru isn’t just physically strong—he’s incredibly intelligent and has journeyed between planets searching for a new home for his people.
1) Dabura Karaba

From the start, it was clear Dabura was incredibly powerful, and his fight against Mahoraga fully showcased his abilities. He’s far stronger than any of the recently introduced characters. The manga also revealed he possesses a technique called Light, but he can’t move at that speed because his body couldn’t handle the strain.
During his fight with Mahoraga, Dabura quickly picks up the incredibly rare Reverse Cursed Technique simply by watching. He also masters Cursed Technique Reversal, a highly complex ability previously only demonstrated by Satoru Gojo and Kenjaku. To further showcase his potential, Dabura rapidly learns Domain Expansion, making it clear he’s determined to win this fight.
