The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen ended on a suspenseful note, hinting at what’s to come in the Culling Game arc. The finale also offered glimpses of the events planned for the next season. Following the season’s conclusion, a fourth season of the anime was officially announced. Season 4 will continue the story immediately where Season 3 left off, diving into the second phase of the Culling Game and finally resolving some long-established plot points.
The first part of Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game ended with a major cliffhanger, and the final moments showed glimpses of what’s coming next. These quick shots highlighted characters who will be important in Season 4, so let’s break down five of the most intriguing teasers and what they might mean for future episodes. Expect even more reveals as the story continues.
5). Kenjaku Enters Phase 2 of the Culling Game

Kenjaku is sinking into the ocean with Satoru Gojo still trapped, and this is all part of the next step in his plan for the Culling Game. A clue to his larger scheme appeared when we saw him enter a mysterious boardroom. Earlier, a conversation between Megumi and Reggie hinted that Kenjaku had a grander purpose for the Culling Game and was intentionally prolonging the tournament to keep more fighters involved.
This brief glimpse of Kenjaku suggests he’ll become relevant again once other threats are dealt with. It also raises questions about what will happen to Gojo and the Prison Realm, especially if they’re both abandoned and sink to the ocean floor.
4). Maki Enters the Culling Game

Maki had a standout episode in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, and many fans consider it one of the best in the entire anime series. The episode showed her collecting the cursed weapons she needed from the Zenin Clan, and confirmed she’s now participating in one of the Culling Game colonies. While we haven’t seen Maki in any battles within the tournament yet, Season 4 promises to change that.
Now that she’s reached a new peak in strength, we’re eager to see how it impacts her battles with dangerous enemies. If the upcoming season maintains the quality of previous ones, it will truly highlight Maki’s abilities.
3). Yuji and Takaba Are Teaming Up

After Megumi’s battle with Reggie, a strange new character, an Angel, appeared, and the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 showed her flying away with him. Yuji and Takaba are now pursuing them. Takaba is a particularly interesting addition to the Culling Game, possessing a potentially incredibly powerful ability—one that could even surpass Gojo’s—so the alliance between him and Yuji is especially compelling.
Now that Megumi is involved in a dangerous situation, Yuji and Takaba are shaping up to be a promising duo. Yuji needs to build strong alliances during the Culling Game, and Takaba, as a powerful fighter, could be key to rescuing Megumi’s sister. This also means we’ll definitely be seeing more of Takaba’s story unfold.
2). Hakari Gets Into First Culling Games Fight

The beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 focused on Yuji and Megumi attempting to get Kinji Hakari to join their fight in the Culling Game. Both Yuta and Gojo have stated Hakari is incredibly powerful – Gojo even believed he could defend Japan if something happened to him. After all this anticipation, we’re finally going to see Hakari’s strength firsthand as he enters his first battle, and learn what his unique abilities are.
We got a quick glimpse of Hakari’s abilities when he fought Yuji, but he ultimately decided to help Yuji and Megumi. With the Culling Game now underway, the anime will finally showcase the full extent of his power.
1). Sukuna’s Planning Something Big
The most exciting hint for the next season is definitely the brief look at Sukuna. He’s been quietly planning since the Shibuya Incident, and it’s obvious he’s getting ready for a major move. As Takako Uro explained to Yuta, Sukuna isn’t like any other powerful enemy they’ve faced – he’s a true calamity. We’ve seen glimpses of his strength while he’s possessed Yuji, but that’s just a small part of his full power.
Fans suspect Sukuna is far more powerful than we’ve seen, and this recent appearance in the anime seems to be setting the stage for a major reveal of his full strength. It’s only a matter of time before we see what he’s truly capable of. What are your thoughts? Share them and join the discussion in the ComicBook Forum!
