5 Strangest Day Jobs of Superheroes (#1 Was a Real Low Point For The Justice League)

Superheroes are known for protecting people and stopping crime, but they also have personal lives. Many have regular jobs – some quite impressive, like Batman who runs a successful company to improve Gotham City. Superman is a well-respected reporter at the Daily Planet. However, not all superhero jobs are high-profile. Some, like Spider-Man, work freelance jobs – he’s a photographer for the Daily Bugle – and just try to make enough money to get by, adding another layer of challenge to their heroic duties.

It’s understandable to feel sad when beloved characters face job-related struggles, as it highlights their humanity. However, seeing them in unsatisfying jobs can also make them more relatable. We connect with Spider-Man, for instance, because of his difficulties as a photographer and his desire for success. Just like in real life, not every job is ideal, and these heroes demonstrate that – regardless of how well their skills might seem to fit their chosen careers.

5) Hal Jordan, Traveling Toy Salesman

For a short period before becoming a major hero, Hal Jordan had a surprising job: he was a traveling toy salesman. He went door-to-door selling toys for about six issues of the comic, and it’s a detail fans still remember. It was an odd career change, going from jet test pilot to toys, and to make things even stranger, he even had a competitor doing the same thing.

He’s had lots of different jobs, but people always make fun of one in particular. It’s a running gag, and honestly, it doesn’t really fit with the rest of his life. Still, it was a truly unique experience, and it’s become a memorable part of Hal Jordan’s already wild story.

4) She-Hulk, Superhero Lawyer

Being a lawyer is central to She-Hulk’s identity, and she’s known as a skilled professional. While Daredevil also works as a lawyer, the unique thing about She-Hulk is that she practices law *as* She-Hulk. Unlike the TV series, she remains in her green, seven-foot form even in the courtroom, meaning she argues cases in full superhero attire. It’s definitely a strange image, but she confidently handles it.

I’ve always been so impressed by Jennifer Walters. It’s amazing how she decided to use her legal skills to help *other* heroes – protecting their secret identities and providing them with a really strong defense. Seriously, whether she’s taking down villains like Titania or even just talking to the crowd, she’s easily one of the most fascinating lawyers in the Marvel Universe.

3) Wolverine, College Professor

Despite being a hugely popular X-Men member, I don’t think Wolverine would be a very good teacher. The movies started showing the classic X-Men as professors, and Wolverine ended up teaching too. It often leads to funny moments in the comics, and it makes you wonder what he’s actually like in the classroom.

He apparently smells terrible, and honestly, he’s the last person I’d want dealing with students who are restless or prone to interrupting. It worries me, but if he’s training the new recruits, I guess it’s worth it in the end.

2) Guy Gardner, Social Worker

Guy Gardner is known as the Green Lantern who’s often made fun of, and he’s definitely the most arrogant. Despite being skilled and having a tough exterior, it’s always struck me as odd that he used to be a social worker. He’s usually portrayed as selfish, so the idea of him wanting to help others and deal with their problems just doesn’t quite fit.

He had this job for a short time before his personality changed, much like Wolverine teaching at a college. It’s hard to believe it actually happened, even with pictures as proof. Hopefully, we’ll see him return to this profession someday-it would be a better fit than seeing him work as a police officer again.

1) Wonder Woman, Fast Food Worker

That’s right – Wonder Woman, also known as Diana, Princess of the Amazons, actually had a job at a fast food restaurant! This happened when everyone thought she had died, and she needed to earn some money. It’s a surprising story that led to one of the most unusual and memorable Wonder Woman comic book covers – issue #73, to be exact.

It’s surprising to think of such a powerful warrior working the drive-thru window at a taco restaurant. She quickly became one of “Taco Whiz’s” most valued employees. Though it might seem like a simple job, it’s actually a fascinating story for her.
