2025 has passed, and Marvel Comics is already looking ahead. It was a huge year with major events like Thor becoming human, Hulk transforming into an infernal being, and Spider-Man exploring deep space. Plus, the Ultimate Universe concluded its story at the end of the year. Marvel took some big risks in the past year, but the question now is whether they can maintain that momentum as 2026 gets underway.
I generally prefer DC Comics, but even I’m excited about some upcoming Marvel projects. I’m particularly interested in the new Daredevil series, which is launching around the same time as the second season of Born Again, and the Superman/Spider-Man crossover looks great. Even though I don’t know much about it, the Armageddon storyline also has my attention. Here are 5 things to anticipate from Marvel in the new year.
5. Iron Man Relaunch

As a fan of Iron Man, I was already intrigued by the idea of a new series starring Tony Stark. But what really got me excited is that Marvel brought in Joshua Williamson – his work on DC and Energon has been fantastic – to write the series, with Carmen Carnero providing the artwork. The story, which centers on Iron Man protecting a young protégé from the villains Madame Masque and A.I.M., sounds particularly promising.
4. Daredevil Relaunch

I was surprised Marvel didn’t promote Daredevil: Born Again more last year. However, they’re really focusing on Matt Murdock now with a new comic series launching alongside his return to television. It’s been too long since we’ve had a Daredevil comic, and thankfully, Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett are bringing him back with a story about a secret that will drastically change his life. Daredevil fans have a lot to look forward to this spring!
3. The Conclusion of the Ultimate Universe

Look, I’m really not happy about the Ultimate Universe potentially ending – it’s actually pretty upsetting! But if it has to end, I want it to go out with a bang, and with the creators who really understand it, like Deniz Camp. Thankfully, Ultimate Endgame just started on New Year’s Eve, and we’ll get to see how it all unfolds over the next few months. I’m not sure what’s next for this universe I love, but I have a feeling this final story will be something special and stay with us for a long time.
2. More DC Comics Crossovers

Everyone was shocked when Marvel and DC announced they would team up again after many years. In 2025, they released a couple of special issues featuring Batman and Deadpool, along with a few smaller crossovers. Now, in 2026, Marvel and DC are going even further with more specials, bringing Superman and Spider-Man together in a new series. I’m excited to see what these two comic giants create, and I hope this leads to even more team-ups in the future.
1. Marvel’s Mysterious Armageddon

To be honest, I’m not sure what’s coming with Marvel’s Armageddon event. Marvel hasn’t revealed much, except that it will bring together several ongoing storylines, including Miles Morales’ quest for the Origin Boxes from the Ultimate Universe. They’re already setting things up in the current Captain America comic and the upcoming Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon. Whatever happens, this event could be the biggest Marvel story of the year – and maybe even the decade, if the rumors about a reboot are true.
