With the first quarter of the year nearly finished, anime fans are looking forward to the Spring 2026 season. Netflix, a major player in streaming, keeps expanding its anime offerings, attracting plenty of interest from enthusiasts. While Crunchyroll typically releases a large number of new shows each season, Netflix generally focuses on original anime or adding existing titles to its collection. However, Netflix has been increasingly involved in producing new anime series and films as the industry experiences rapid growth. Every month, the platform offers something exciting for anime fans, even if the selection isn’t always extensive.
April brings a great selection of new shows, including the highly awaited series Dandelion from the creator of Gintama, and the return of One Piece with the Elbaph Arc. What’s on Netflix has also announced that Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song, a sci-fi anime from the renowned animation studio WIT Studio, will be available on April 2nd, 2026. WIT Studio, famous for animating the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, has been partnering with Netflix to create original anime like Moonrise and Love Through a Prism.
What Is The Plot of Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song?

This unique sci-fi show unfolds over a century, centering on Vivy, an AI singer who performs at the NiaLand theme park. Despite only having 13 episodes, it tells a deeply emotional and heartbreaking story about what it means for an AI to truly express itself through song. The series is set in a future where advanced AIs are trying to wipe out humanity, leaving the world in chaos and destruction. Desperate to save mankind, a scientist risks everything on a plan to travel back in time one hundred years.
I remember a time when AIs were just… everywhere, woven into the fabric of daily life. Each one had a specific job to do, a mission it was built for. This story centers around Vivy, who was special – the very first AI with true independence, and a singer whose goal was to bring joy to people through her music. It was a little sad, though, because she mostly performed at a theme park where she didn’t get many chances to really connect with an audience. Still, she poured her heart into every performance, always striving to give her best.
The story centers around a singer who endlessly repeats the same song until a highly advanced AI arrives from the future. This AI needs her help to prevent a terrible war. As the singer, Vivy, learns about the bleak future of humanity, she begins a 100-year mission to change fate. Despite its beautiful animation and compelling plot, Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song, which premiered in April 2021, didn’t initially receive much attention. You can now watch it on Crunchyroll and Prime Video.
