6 EastEnders spoilers next week: Max Branning returns to showdowns and will Lauren marry Peter?

Next week, Max Branning, played by Jake Wood, returns to EastEnders just as his daughter Lauren, played by Jacqueline Jossa, is about to unexpectedly marry Peter Beale (Thomas Law).

Max’s arrival is causing drama in the neighborhood, and just as things heat up, his former partner, Stacey Slater, is getting ready to leave.

Okay, so things are heating up in Albert Square! It looks like Kathy Cotton is *this* close to figuring out Callum’s been playing Ben – and let me tell you, when Kathy Cotton gets suspicious, trouble is definitely brewing. Gillian Taylforth is fantastic at playing that simmering rage, and I’m really anticipating the fallout when she confronts him. This storyline is shaping up to be a real powder keg!

Nicola Mitchell, played by Laura Doddington, is prepared to fight Ravi Gulati, portrayed by Aaron Thiara, over their son, Harry, who is played by Elijah Holloway.

And Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) strikes up a rivalry with the Slaters.

Read on for all your EastEnders spoilers for Monday 29th September – Thursday 2nd October 2025.

6 EastEnders spoilers next week

1. Will Lauren Branning marry Peter Beale amid wedding surprise?

Peter and his family are putting the finishing touches on plans for Lauren’s surprise wedding. However, when Lauren chooses to work instead of going to a planned spa day, Penny Branning steps in to help, not knowing about the wedding surprise.

Penny and Lauren later go for a drink, and Penny’s comments cast doubts on Lauren’s relationship.

Lauren and Penny went to The Queen Vic expecting to meet Peter, but were surprised to find it decorated for a wedding. Peter immediately got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren, asking her to marry him right then and there.

Lauren is stunned, and reluctantly agrees before returning home to get ready.

Penny can tell that Lauren is overwhelmed, but Lauren claims she’s fine – only to try and flee!

As Lauren and Peter prepare to marry, we’re left wondering if the bride will say ‘I do’.

Then an unannounced visitor walks in…

2. Max Branning returns – and faces a series of showdowns

Max is just in time for the ceremony, and the locals reel over his arrival.

I was completely shocked watching Stacey and Zoe Slater – Michelle Ryan, of course – just staring in disbelief. It was heartbreaking to see Max’s little boy, Oscar (Pierre Moullier), desperately trying to get his dad to notice him.

Max is too focused on Zoe, leading Kat Moon to caution her about getting involved with him. Will Zoe let on that she and Max already have a connection?

Now, Max turns his attention to Stacey and starts following her. What conversation will these ex-lovers have when they finally meet?

Peter worries that Max being back will cause Cindy Beale to reappear, and it doesn’t take long for Cindy to find out about Max through Jasmine.

Cindy heads over to confront Max for killing her son Steven (Aaron Sidwell).

But that’s not the only showdown Max must face, as he and Lauren argue over their similarities.

Lauren orders her dad to leave Walford once more, but what will Max’s next move be?

And will Cindy let Max get away with his past actions?

We have a feeling he won’t know what’s hit him!

3. Stacey Slater prepares to leave for Brazil

Stacey attempts to convince Lily Turner to come with her to Brazil, but Lily is determined to remain in Walford with Charli.

Both Zoe and Jean try to convince Stacey not to move, but Eve offers her support.

Stacey eventually tells everyone she’s changed her mind and will stay, but Lily worries her mum is making a mistake.

Lily and Zoe finally persuaded Stacey to move to Brazil, but Jean was nowhere to be found when it was time for Stacey to say goodbye.

The family doesn’t know Jean is trapped on the subway with Priya Nandra-Hart and have no idea about the trouble happening at the pub.

Priya comforts Jean during a panic attack, but will Jean recover in time to say goodbye to Stacey?

4. Will Kathy Cotton discover son-in-law Callum Highway’s affair?

Recent photos suggest Kathy is getting closer to discovering Callum’s infidelity in the next few episodes.

After Callum’s father, Jonno, passed away – they hadn’t been close – Callum’s partner, Johnny Carter, told him that Jonno had left a heartfelt message for him.

Callum confessed his feelings for Johnny and stated he wanted their relationship to be public, even though he was still married to Ben.

Callum starts spending a lot more time with Johnny at the café, and Kathy seems to be growing suspicious of their interactions, though we don’t yet know why.

Callum is talking on the phone, and at another time, Johnny appears upset while sitting by himself at The Albert.

Fans of the show know Ben is being temporarily released from prison to be there for Callum at Jonno’s funeral.

Will Kathy find out the truth about Johnny before then?

If Callum discovers Johnny has been dishonest, will he reconsider their future together?

5. Nicola Mitchell steps in to protect Harry Mitchell from Ravi Gulati

Ravi and Okie Okyere (played by Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) become concerned that Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) might be in danger after learning their recent drug deal caused problems for a rival gang.

Harry deliberately avoids acknowledging a group keeping watch on the apartment, hoping a police intervention will convince Ravi and Okie to stop using Kojo’s place.

When Kojo comes back, Harry gets worried. While Kojo finds out Okie has been hurt, Harry’s attention is caught by Gina Knight (Francesca Henry).

I was so glad to see Harry offering a hand with everything after the disaster, but honestly, I was really disappointed when he missed Gina’s wedding. It felt like a huge letdown, especially after she’d been so supportive. It really put him in her bad graces, and I can’t say I blame her.

Harry asks Nicola for help with his debt to Ravi. When Harry tries to take advantage of the situation, Nicola threatens to report Ravi’s superiors if he doesn’t stop.

Ravi emphasizes to Okie that Kojo and their apartment remain essential to their plans, while Harry, unaware, is busy making up with Gina at The Vic.

I’m so thrilled for Gina and Harry – they’ve finally made things official and whisked off on a spontaneous weekend getaway! It’s lovely to see them so happy. Meanwhile, I feel awful for Priya; she’s really upset with Ravi because he hasn’t been there for her when she needed him.

Priya is pretending to have other plans to get Ravi’s attention, but will she notice he’s actually trying to cause trouble for Kojo? Meanwhile, will Harry finally be safe?

6. The Slaters give newcomer Jasmine the run-around

Jasmine gets into an argument with the Slaters after asking them to pay for their drinks before they’re served at The Albert.

The group, celebrating 25 years on television this year, seem to be causing trouble again, but will Jasmine allow it to continue?
