Kingpin, the main villain in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, is building a team to oppose vigilantes as he returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 6. The Disney+ series brings back Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively – roles they originally became known for in the Netflix Marvel shows.
Following a fierce competition as they re-emerged in Phase 5, Daredevil and his rival will be locked in conflict again in Phase 6. This time, the conflict arises after Mayor Fisk declares vigilantism illegal and imposes martial law.
Throughout the first season of the show, Fisk built a network of allies. Many of them will be back in season two of Daredevil: Born Again to assist him in enforcing a new plan. The show is scheduled to return on Disney+ on March 24, 2026.
Kingpin’s Allies in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Kingpin

Look, as a huge fan of the Daredevil universe, I’ve always been fascinated by Wilson Fisk. He’s the glue that holds everything together, even when he’s the bad guy! After Daredevil kept messing with his criminal operations, you really see Fisk change things up in Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again. He doesn’t just want to control the streets anymore; he decides to go legit – or at least appear to – and runs for mayor of New York. It’s a brilliant move for the character, and it sets up so much of what comes next.
Even after becoming a powerful figure, Fisk’s strong dislike of vigilantes remained. This new position gave him the ability to use the city’s resources to his benefit. Kingpin will be incredibly powerful when he appears in Phase 6, which is a serious threat to Daredevil and those who fight alongside him.
It’s not only Kingpin’s enemies who have reason to be afraid. As seen in the finale of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, he brutally punished anyone who crossed him – like when he killed Commissioner Gallo. This means even his allies need to be cautious, as disloyalty won’t be tolerated.
Vanessa

Vanessa, played by Ayelet Zurer, is Kingpin’s wife and took over his criminal operations while he was away. When Fisk returned, their relationship was strained. Vanessa resented his attempt to become a legitimate mayor, having enjoyed her time running his criminal empire. At the same time, Fisk was grappling with the realization that Vanessa had been unfaithful during his absence.
In the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, the couple attended counseling and stayed allies. Although they still face challenges, Vanessa will require Fisk’s assistance in Season 2, especially after Daredevil discovers her involvement in Foggy’s death.
Buck Cashman

Buck Cashman, played by Arty Froushan, is Wilson Fisk’s most trusted assistant. He’s completely devoted to Fisk and his wife, and will do whatever they ask. Cashman also acts as an advisor, gathering information for Fisk through any methods necessary. In Season 1, Fisk tasked him with killing Matt Murdock, but he wasn’t successful.
Cashman will probably continue working as Kingpin’s right-hand man as the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves into its next phase. But now that Kingpin’s Safer Streets Initiative is underway, Cashman will have help from both the military and a special task force designed to stop vigilantes – all under Kingpin’s control.
Daniel Blake

Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini), a key aide to Kingpin as the Deputy Mayor for Communications, is a strong ally. He followed Kingpin’s orders without question, even when it meant using blackmail to pressure the New York City council into backing Kingpin’s plans to fight vigilantes.
A picture from the set of Daredevil: Born Again suggests Blake may become more involved in criminal activity in the upcoming season, possibly following in the footsteps of his mentor and becoming a villain.
Heather Glenn

In Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, Margarita Levieva joined the cast as Heather Glenn, a therapist who becomes Matt Murdock’s love interest. Her work unexpectedly led her to treat Wilson Fisk and his wife, creating tension in her relationship with Murdock due to their conflicting views on vigilantism.
Now that Glenn has agreed to work for Fisk as his advisor on mental health, she appears to be fully supporting Kingpin. This creates conflict with her ex-boyfriend, whom she already believes is Daredevil.
AVTF

Team Kingpin now has the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, first seen being set up across New York City in Season 1. As Fisk employed them to stop heroes like Muse and other masked vigilantes, the task force became more well-known – and their methods were often violent.
During Season 2, the militia will be much stronger due to a new law put in place by Fisk, and they’ll likely cause serious trouble for Daredevil and those helping him. The effects of this new task force could be felt for a long time, potentially throughout future seasons, especially with another group forming that also targets people with special abilities.
Bonus: Bullseye

Wow, the new Daredevil: Born Again really hit the ground running! Right from the start, Bullseye – or Benjamin Poindexter, as we learn – made a huge impact, and tragically, it cost Foggy Nelson his life. It was shocking! Then, even after Daredevil threw him off a roof and he barely survived, Poindexter somehow managed to break out of jail. Talk about a dangerous loose cannon!
Bullseye initially attempted to kill Wilson Fisk, but Matt Murdock intervened and took the bullet meant for him. Now a fugitive from both the AVTF and Fisk, Bullseye’s loyalties are uncertain as Season 2 begins. He might return to his old ways and battle Daredevil, or he could team up with the heroes to get revenge on the Fisks.
According to showrunner Dario Scardapane, Bullseye will be forced to choose a side in Season 2, though he hasn’t revealed which one. He shared this information with TV Insider.
The finale ended with Bullseye gazing out a shattered window, leaving viewers wondering where everyone stands. The big question now is which side each character will ultimately choose. We’re excited about the direction things are heading, especially with Wilson Bethel’s compelling performance as Bullseye, and we feel we have a strong foundation with our characters to tell a great story.
Recent photos from the set seem to hint at which side Bullseye will be on in the upcoming season. Actors Wilson Bethel and Vincent D’Onofrio were seen together in costume, suggesting Bullseye and Kingpin might team up – or at least reconnect – in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. It’s possible that with this new direction for the series, Bullseye is changing his ways.
