Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for both Jujutsu Kaisen and its sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which began in September 2025, is about halfway through its run. Originally planned as a short series lasting only six months and three volumes, the story follows a new cast of characters dealing with a dangerous new threat 68 years after the events of the Culling Game. As the series nears its end, the focus is on the devastating impact of an alien invasion and the breakdown of negotiations with the invaders due to a misunderstanding, which has severely shaken the foundations of the Jujutsu world.
Just when things were starting to improve between the warring factions, a sorcerer named Yakumaru shot and killed Cross, effectively deciding Japan’s fate. The situation quickly deteriorated with the arrival of Dabura, whose immense power forced the remaining sorcerers to submit. Now, Dabura has challenged anyone from Earth to fight him. Because the story of Modulo takes place in the same world as Jujutsu Kaisen, we can expect to see familiar faces. However, Chapter 15 unexpectedly brings back a key character from the original series in a shocking and frightening way.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Unveils The Horrifying Fate of Ui Ui

Ui Ui first appeared during the Shibuya Incident as Mei Mei’s younger brother. Despite being very young, he played a vital role in the battle against Sukuna during the Shinjuku Showdown. His ability to teleport was incredibly helpful to the sorcerers, even assisting Yuji in increasing his power. Importantly, Ui quickly removing Gojo’s body from the fight gave Yuta a crucial opportunity to continue battling the villain.
Ui Ui once saved Hiromi Higuruma’s life by quickly getting him medical attention. He was incredibly talented and had a promising future, but his experiences in Modulo were deeply disturbing. Whether due to witnessing the dark side of the Jujutsu world years ago, or for other unknown reasons, he’s become someone who actively seeks out violence and suffering. Before the fight between Dabura and Yuka Okkotsu, Ui Ui arrived with a group of children who looked like him, and asked Dabura to expose them to the true terrors of Jujutsu sorcery.
He’s even adopted the same hairstyle as his sister, Mei Mei, suggesting he deeply misses her, likely after she passed away peacefully in old age. The children in the current story wear clothes and have hairstyles that echo his own from the original tale, and the similarities are striking enough to hint at a family connection, though it’s never explicitly stated. Considering he was likely a pre-teen in the original story, he would now be in his late seventies or early eighties.
