The Avengers are Marvel’s most famous superhero team, always ready to defend Earth from villains and alien dangers. Over the years, many different versions of the team have existed, especially considering the vast multiverse – a collection of infinite parallel universes where anything can happen. Interestingly, some version of the Avengers seems to exist in every one of these universes. No matter the world, heroes inevitably unite to protect people. These teams vary wildly; some are nearly identical to the familiar Avengers from the main Marvel universe (Earth-616), while others are completely different.
The idea of multiple universes has long been popular in Marvel Comics. Given the fame of heroes like the Avengers, it was natural for Marvel to create stories featuring different versions of them.
7) Scavengers

Among the countless universes in Marvel Comics, Earth-8311 – often called Larval Earth – is particularly unusual. It’s inhabited by cartoon animals who walk and talk like people, and is famous for its version of Spider-Man, Peter Porker, better known as Spider-Ham. But Spider-Ham isn’t the only oddity on this world. Earth-8311 also has its own team of superheroes, called the Scavengers, who are animal versions of the classic Avengers. This team includes Captain Americat, Iron Mouse, Thrr, Squawkeye, Ant Ant, Captain Meowvel, Black Panda, and Croctor Strange. With their silly and humorous escapades, the Scavengers perfectly illustrate just how strange and wonderful the Marvel multiverse can be.
6) Avengers 2099

Everyone knows Spider-Man is the big hero of 2099, but there’s a whole team of Avengers in that future too! They came about on Earth-23291, but things were weird – a massive corporation called Alchemax owned the Avengers and pretty much controlled everything. The team itself was really interesting: a female Captain America with a complex personality, Hercules, a new Iron Man, a Hawkeye who was part human, part hawk, and a seriously dangerous Black Widow. At first, they were basically just Alchemax’s security force, but these heroes had strong morals. They eventually broke free from the corporation’s control and started truly protecting the people of Nueva York, becoming real heroes in their own right.
5) Revengers

Earth-10011, known as the Cancerverse, is one of the most frightening realities in the Marvel Multiverse. It’s home to a twisted team called the Revengers. This universe’s Captain Mar-Vell, facing death, made a deal with monstrous beings called the Many Angled Ones to save himself. But the deal corrupted him, turning Earth’s heroes into immortal, monstrous versions of themselves – the Revengers. These corrupted heroes then served the Many Angled Ones, trying to reshape the entire universe. They also became a major threat to other universes, clashing with heroes from across the multiverse in their quest for conquest.
4) A-Force

In an alternate reality known as Earth-16191, the all-female superhero team A-Force protects the world. Led by She-Hulk, the team includes powerful heroes like Captain Marvel, Rogue, Ms. America, Black Widow, and Valkyrie. They fight against threats like monsters and zombies, and even uncover a betrayal from a female Loki within their own ranks. The team’s popularity led one member, Singularity, to create a version of A-Force in the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616), bringing these heroes to a wider audience.
3) Multiversal Avengers

Okay, so picture this: the worst villains across all realities are systematically taking out the greatest heroes from different universes. It’s up to a Loki variant – a really resourceful one – to gather a team to fight back. But this isn’t your typical superhero squad. We’re talking wildly different versions of familiar faces! An Ant-Man Tony Stark? A Thor who’s a master of the Iron Fist? Seriously! There’s a Thing infused with the power of the Infinity Stones, a Black Panther with cosmic abilities, and even a Celestial Deathlok! And the support doesn’t stop there – they’ve got an army of Captain Americas, a whole unit of Howling Commandos, and a fleet of Captain Marvels calling themselves the Carol Corps. Basically, these Multiversal Avengers are the first line of defense for every universe out there. It’s a crazy concept, but it totally works.
2) Ultimates

Marvel launched the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610) to offer grittier, more realistic takes on its famous characters. This universe’s version of the Avengers, called the Ultimates, was formed by Nick Fury to defend the United States from danger. The initial team included Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Giant-Man, and Wasp, and was later joined by heroes like the Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wolverine, and Black Panther. Many members of the Ultimates were portrayed as more troubled than their traditional versions. Despite this, the series was successful for Marvel, running for a decade thanks to its fresh and engaging take on classic heroes.
1) A-Next

In an alternate reality (Earth-982), the original Avengers had retired, and a new generation of heroes stepped up to take their place. After a battle with trolls, a group of these young heroes – including the children of Thunderstrike, Juggernaut, Ant-Man and Wasp, and an android successor to Iron Man – formed a new team called A-Next. Over time, heroes like American Dream, Saberclaw, Thena, Bluestreak, and even Spider-Man’s daughter, Spider-Woman, joined their ranks. A-Next proved that the Avengers’ spirit of heroism would live on for years to come.
