7. Derpy
I have to say, Derpy from KPop Demon Hunters is just the most endearingly quirky character! He really stole the show the moment he appeared, and I instantly fell in love with his unusual appearance and funny personality – especially his thing with perfectly straightening flower pots! It’s no surprise he became such a phenomenon after the film came out; he absolutely deserves to be recognized as one of the best.
6. Sam Snow and Kit Casey
I absolutely love watching Kit and Sam from Creature Cases! They’re a huge reason why that show is one of the most popular on Netflix, in my opinion. Sam’s a really cool snow leopard who’s always using his gadgets, and Kit, the kit fox, is super smart about all kinds of animals. Together, they solve mysteries and teach kids about the animal kingdom, and it’s just a really fun show! They keep making new seasons too, so there’s always more to watch!
5. Mira
Meet Mira from KPop Demon Hunters – she’s the team’s strong and outspoken enforcer. While a powerful fighter against demons, Mira is also vital to the group’s friendship with Rumi and Zoey. She cares for them deeply and always has their backs, even if she expresses it bluntly sometimes. Throughout the film’s action sequences, Mira truly shines, delivering some of the most memorable lines, including a particularly iconic one about ‘napalm’.
4. Zoey
Let’s talk about Zoey from KPop Demon Hunters. She’s an incredibly energetic person who really brightens up any space. More than that, she’s often the one who helps keep the group united when Mira and Rumi argue – she’s great at diffusing tense situations! Although she’s definitely the most playful and silly of the three, Zoey is just as capable in a fight. Plus, she’s the team’s star rapper on some of the movie’s best tracks, and that’s why fans love her so much.
3. Nimona
Netflix’s 2023 release of Nimona introduced the story to a wider audience, and it was a huge success. Created by ND Stevenson, the film beautifully brought Nimona and her world to life, with the character’s energetic personality shining in every scene. Nimona is incredibly powerful and dynamic, able to transform into many different forms. Plus, her relationship with Ballister Boldheart is both touching and funny, and you’ll quickly fall in love with the delightful trouble she causes.
2. Rumi
Rounding out our list of standout characters from KPop Demon Hunters is Rumi, the group’s leader. She struggles with a dual identity as someone who’s half human and half demon, which creates complications in her role as a demon hunter. The film focuses on her journey to accept both sides of herself while also trying to save the world. Add in incredible action scenes that highlight her fighting skills and powerful singing voice, and it’s clear why she ranks so highly.
1. BoJack Horseman
Topping the list is BoJack Horseman, one of Netflix’s most enduring shows. Despite featuring a cast of animals – including a horse as the main character – BoJack Horseman resonates with viewers because of its honest and relatable portrayal of difficult themes like depression and trauma. Its unique blend of dark humor and emotional depth has made it one of the most original animated series on TV, firmly earning its place at number one.
