Despite Marvel Studios regaining its strong reputation with recent projects, many details about the 2026 lineup of Marvel Cinematic Universe films and shows remain unknown. 2026 promises to be a big year for the MCU, starting with Wonder Man in January and culminating in the highly awaited Avengers: Doomsday in December, but a lot is still shrouded in mystery.

Marvel is launching a new lineup of projects starting with Wonder Man on January 27, 2026. Following that, season two of Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in March, with a special presentation featuring the Punisher. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for July, VisionQuest will premiere in late 2026, and the year will culminate with Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th. Plus, new seasons of the animated series X-Men ’97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will be available on Disney+. We might also see characters like Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) and the Punisher, along with other allies from the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe, fighting alongside Daredevil. Fans are eager to find out who will join the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s crew.

3) Why Doctor Doom Looks Like Tony Stark

During San Diego Comic-Con 2024, the Russo brothers revealed Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he won’t be reprising his role as Iron Man. Instead, he’ll be playing the villain Doctor Doom. While he made a brief, uncredited appearance in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avengers: Doomsday will fully introduce him as the character. The first trailer for Doomsday also showed Chris Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers, and even included a glimpse of his child. However, many other familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are expected to appear in Doomsday but haven’t been officially confirmed yet. Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be the largest Marvel movie to date, and fans are hoping for even more cast announcements. We might see another big reveal event this March before the film’s December release.
