7 Characters We Can’t Wait to See in Action in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

Warning! This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

The events in Shibuya threw the world of Jujutsu Kaisen into complete turmoil, fundamentally changing the power dynamics and paving the way for even bigger battles. With Satoru Gojo trapped, the remaining sorcerers are at a significant disadvantage. Season 3 will focus on the Culling Game Arc, raising the stakes dramatically as old allies turn against each other and new, powerful characters emerge. After a two-year wait, fans can expect intense combat, surprising character growth, and power levels exceeding anything we’ve seen before – even surpassing Gojo’s own strength.

The events in Shibuya will significantly impact our existing characters and bring a lot of new faces into the fight, as everyone struggles to survive and determine what happens next in the world of Jujutsu Sorcery.

7) Yuta Okkotsu

After a quick but impactful return at the end of season 2, Yuta Okkotsu will be a key player in the upcoming events. He’s much more powerful than when we first met him in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, now confidently wielding his full abilities with Rika. As one of only four Special Grade Sorcerers, Yuta is now among the strongest fighters, making his actions incredibly important.

Following the events in Shibuya, Yuta’s first assignment puts him on a collision course with Yuji Itadori. However, true to the style of Jujutsu Kaisen, the situation isn’t as simple as it appears. Seeing Yuta grapple with the difficult choices and burdens of his new position, while demonstrating the incredible power of his unique abilities – including copying techniques and wielding immense cursed energy – will be a thrilling experience. His fight scenes are expected to be among the most visually stunning in the series, and potentially in all of anime.

6) Kinji Hakari

Kinji Hakari is a highly anticipated sorcerer, often compared to Yuta in terms of skill. After a suspension from Jujutsu High, his return during the chaotic Culling Game arc proves he was worth the wait. He’s a powerful and unpredictable fighter with a quirky personality, making him a potentially valuable, though unconventional, ally.

His fighting style is built around a special ability that’s like a pachinko machine, creating a nearly unstoppable force in battle. Seeing this ability in action, with its element of chance, is both captivating and visually impressive. Hakari’s intense fights and unique outlook on the jujutsu world make him a compelling and exciting character.

5) Maki Zenin

Maki Zenin was severely injured during the Shibuya Incident, with burns covering much of her body. However, unlike many other sorcerers who died, her injuries aren’t the end of her story. Instead, they’re the beginning of a journey to unlock her true power, finally freeing her from the restrictions imposed by the Zenin clan.

Maki’s power has reached a new level because she’s completely abandoned Cursed Energy, making her an incredibly skilled user of Heavenly Restriction. Viewers are excited to see her at full strength, equipped with a powerful collection of Cursed Tools. Her upcoming battle with her family will be a harsh and pivotal event in the story.

4) Yorozu

Yorozu is a powerful and dangerous sorcerer who lived in the past. Kenjaku reincarnated her into the body of Tsumiki Fushiguro, Megumi Fushiguro’s sister. This revelation is deeply upsetting for Megumi and significantly raises the danger he faces. Yorozu isn’t just a threat because of her abilities; her very existence is emotionally damaging to Megumi, who simply wants to help his sister wake up from a coma.

Yorozu is a highly skilled sorcerer with a rare ability called Construction. This technique lets her create objects – like a full suit of armor – from a special, liquid metal. Seeing such a powerful and unusual ability used in today’s fights against curses and other sorcerers is sure to be impressive.

3) Hajime Kashimo

Hajime Kashimo, a remarkably strong sorcerer from the past, is obsessed with finding worthy opponents to fight. He joined the Culling Game purely to prove his incredible strength, a somewhat self-centered but relatable goal. This instantly puts him on a collision course with other powerful players, promising exciting and intense battles.

I’ve been watching Kashimo, and his Cursed Technique is really something – he can completely control electricity. He can not only attack with lightning, but also shape and redirect the energy itself. It’s clear he’s on a quest to find the strongest fighters, and I have a feeling that journey will bring him face-to-face with people like Yuji Itadori. Honestly, I’m really excited to see how his powers look when they’re fully animated – it’s going to be incredible.

2) Hiromi Higuruma

Hiromi Higuruma is a fascinating character – a former lawyer who now uses cursed energy as a sorcerer. He strongly opposes the harsh new world Kenjaku has created, and wrestles with his own sense of right and wrong after obtaining cursed energy. This internal conflict makes him a surprisingly unpredictable player in the Culling Game, even though he doesn’t necessarily want to be involved.

I have to say, Higuruma’s Domain Expansion, called Deadly Sentencing, is unlike anything I’ve seen in Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s incredible – he traps his opponents inside a courtroom and puts them on trial, where the verdict is absolute. It’s not just a fight; it’s a whole legal process unfolding in real-time, and it really makes Higuruma stand out as a unique and captivating fighter.

1) Choso

After learning that Yuji Itadori was essentially his brother, Choso’s allegiance completely changed. He went through a major internal struggle but ultimately decided to side with Yuji and his friends, becoming fiercely protective of his newly found “brother.” This new partnership will significantly impact future fights, as Choso is a powerful and formidable fighter.

Choso’s Cursed Technique, Blood Manipulation, allows him to control his blood outside of his body, creating powerful, fast-moving attacks like “Piercing Blood.” It will be incredibly rewarding to see him use his abilities alongside Yuji to fight for a good cause, considering all the hardship he’s endured.
