7 Coronation Street spoilers next week
1. Betsy Swain in mystery arrest drama as Carla Connor reveals Becky insecurities

Carla tells Lisa she’s sold the Rovers to someone called Ben.
It seems Carla doesn’t realize Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) is connected to anyone, but he’s actually engaged to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).
Later this month, Eva will become the new manager of the pub, working alongside her partner and his mother, Maggie McLynn.

I’m really feeling for Carla right now. She’s confessed she’s anxious about the trip to Ireland because she doesn’t want to leave Lisa to deal with Becky on her own. It’s gotten Lisa wondering if Carla actually trusts her to handle things, which is totally understandable. It’s a tough situation all around!
Lisa assures Carla she loves her and has no interest in Becky.
Now that Carla was gone, Betsy convinced Becky to help with her college project by modeling some designs. As Becky showed them off, Lisa couldn’t help but smile and participate too.
I was really gripped by this scene – Betsy starts filming, and Becky completely freaks out, terrified someone she knows will see it online and figure out it’s her. It’s a relatable fear, honestly!

Later, Betsy spends the entire night away from home, and Kit Green informs Lisa that her daughter has been arrested.
Confused and exhausted, Betsy is alone in her cell. Lisa believes Becky’s unexpected return is the reason Betsy is having a difficult time again.
Becky received a sting, and Betsy was questioned. During the interview, Detective Inspector Costello informed her that she was accused of damaging a police vehicle, resisting arrest, and attempting to assault him.
Betsy isn’t saying anything, but Costello warns Becky that if she doesn’t go into hiding again, things will get much worse for Betsy.
Has DI Costello set this whole thing up?
2. Theo Silverton cheats as Todd Grimshaw fears bowel cancer results?

Okay, so this episode really hits you with Todd’s anxiety right away. He’s seriously worried about some test results – we quickly learn it’s about potential bowel cancer – and it’s heartbreaking. He gets so distressed he starts making plans for his *own* funeral, which is a gut punch. Thankfully, his friend George, played brilliantly by Tony Maudsley, catches on and, while understandably alarmed, manages to find a clue in Todd’s emails – it turns out Todd actually *had* a hospital appointment, which throws everything into a new light. It’s a tense and emotional setup, and Maudsley really grounds the scene with his reactions.
Christina Boyd tells George to be supportive of Todd, and Todd appreciates having George by his side as he goes to his doctor’s appointment.
I was watching this scene at the Bistro, and it was interesting to see Theo and Gary Windass – played by Mikey North, by the way – meeting up with Pete (Andrew Hayden-Smith). They were clearly talking business, trying to hash out some kind of deal or contract. It seemed pretty important, whatever it was!

Theo notices Billy Mayhew and immediately questions whether Billy knows something he isn’t sharing, making Billy visibly uncomfortable.
Billy later dashes outside to take a call from Todd, while Theo masks his fury and orders shots.
The morning after, Todd felt terrible and went home, bracing himself for Theo’s anger. He apologized for spending the night at Billy’s, assuring Theo that nothing romantic had happened.
But as Pete emerges from the bathroom, Todd is reeling. Has Theo cheated?
Theo is remorseless as he accuses Todd of sneaking around, and Todd explains his health scare.

However, when Theo attempts to shift the blame onto Todd, Todd loses his temper and tells him to leave.
Glenda Shuttleworth is holding a Mr & Mrs game at the Rovers Return when Theo tries to speak with Todd, but Todd avoids him.
Todd reaches for Glenda’s clipboard with an idea in mind, but what will he do?
And what did the doctor say about his tests?
Coronation Street is collaborating with the organization Galop to accurately depict abuse in a same-sex relationship.
3. Bethany Platt’s stoma splits amid salon drama

Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) offers Bethany some shifts doing nails at the salon.
Shona Platt receives a frantic call from David – he’s trapped in an elevator and won’t be able to make their important baby scan. Bethany suggests a solution, but it’s unclear if her plan will succeed.
As the week continues, Bethany is put in charge of Hope, who’s on work experience.
Hope is impressed when a client shows her supposed miracle pills claiming to boost hair and nail growth, and help with weight loss.

Bethany believes these companies prioritize profits over people’s well-being, sharing her own experience with weight loss surgery as proof.
When the client departs, she discovers her medication is gone and immediately suspects Hope, demanding she show the contents of her bag.
When Hope refuses, Bethany tries to grab her bag, causing her stoma bag to split.
Following complications from her surgery, Bethany needed a permanent stoma fitted last year.
One year on, how will she cope with what happens in the salon?

4. Cassie Plummer gets under Tracy Barlow’s feet as Tyrone Dobbs is neglected amid recovery

Cassie leaves Tyrone, who is recovering from spinal injuries and needs help with his exercises, to hang out with Steve instead.
I can’t believe it! Tracy is absolutely furious because someone drank Ken Barlow’s last bottle of wine – the one from his very first wedding to Deirdre. It’s a special bottle, and she’s really upset about it!

Fiz Dobbs decides to go into town instead of heading home, and when Cassie returns, she finds Tyrone in terrible pain after a fall from his wheelchair.
Cassie feels upset when Fiz ignores her, but she later discovers Fiz wasn’t actually working and was instead taking care of Ty for the week.

Tracy gets tired of Cassie spending all day at home and gets an idea when she overhears Tyrone chatting with Fiz about Cassie’s favorite music group.
Tracy gives Cassie tickets to a concert, hoping Cassie will use them to make up with Fiz and stop bothering her.
Will it work?
Coronation Street is working with Spinal Injuries Association on Tyrone’s story.
5. Abi Webster accuses Kevin Webster of sabotage

Abi asked Kevin to babysit Alfie, but when he called, sounding frustrated and upset, she decided he should watch Alfie another time.
Kevin becomes overwhelmed with emotion, and things get worse for Abi when she receives news that she wasn’t selected for the job at another garage.
Abi barges into the house and accuses Kev of sabotaging her chances, but did he?
6. Bernie Winter is determined to stop abusive Naomi as Asha Alahan isolates herself

Asha came home from the hospital after a suicide attempt, and her sharp words to Dev show she’s still deeply troubled.
Asha realises she’s overstepped the mark and apologises, insisting she’ll be fine on her own.

As Asha curls up on the sofa and blocks out the world, Dev confides his worries in Bernie.
Bernie thinks someone needs to talk to Naomi before she causes more trouble, but it’s unclear how to handle the fact that she was so verbally abusive to Asha.
And can Asha begin to heal?
If you’re struggling with the issues discussed in this article, support is available. Please reach out to organizations like Samaritans, CALM, Rethink Mental Illness, and Mind for help and advice.
Coronation Street is working with The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) on Asha’s story.
7. Tim Metcalfe shuts down abuse trauma dialogue

Tim tells his wife, Sally Metcalfe, that he’s ended things with Trisha and doesn’t want to discuss it further.
Look, as a movie fan, I’m always up for a good resolution, but things are complicated now. With everything that’s come out about Trisha – the abuse allegations and how she targeted Tim when he was a kid – I just don’t see how Tim can truly move on from this. It feels like there’s no easy answer, and honestly, I’m not sure he *should* just ‘put it to rest’ without real accountability.
For support on Tim’s story, visit NSPCC or call the helpline on 0808 800 5000.
