7 Deadly Daredevil Villains That Still Need an MCU Appearance

As a longtime fan of Marvel’s Daredevil, I’ve always felt he’s a character with huge potential. But honestly, watching his various movie and TV appearances, it’s easy to get the impression that his villains are a bit…thin. We keep seeing the same faces – Bullseye, Kingpin, and Elektra – recycled in every iteration. Even the new Disney+ show, Daredevil: Born Again, while adding the interesting villain, Muse, doesn’t drastically expand things. After five seasons of the Netflix series, it often feels like Daredevil’s rogues’ gallery is surprisingly small – you could practically count them on one hand!

With Daredevil: Born Again preparing for its second season and already planning a third, Marvel should explore the Daredevil comics for fresh ideas. While some villains are too large in scope for the Disney+ show, connected to other heroes, or have already appeared in different capacities, many compelling enemies remain untapped. These villains are not only dangerous, but also offer exciting new story possibilities beyond the familiar conflicts with Kingpin, Bullseye, and The Hand.

7) Blackheart

This demonic being, a child of Mephisto, tries to lead people astray and corrupt them, even heroes like Daredevil. When temptation doesn’t work, it simply enjoys causing pain and suffering, which is easy to do to someone like Matt Murdock. It might be difficult for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Daredevil to suddenly include a real demon, but the Netflix series did explore supernatural elements, so it’s plausible. Furthermore, the MCU recently introduced Mephisto in Ironheart, a show that didn’t initially seem suited for mythical storylines, proving that anything can happen.

6) Bushwacker

Bushwacker is a freelance assassin and a truly unique figure in the Marvel Universe. Instead of simply wielding weapons, his body is the weapon – he has a specialized arm that can absorb any type of bullet or ammunition and then fire it back out. Like Bullseye, he’s mentally unstable and incredibly dangerous. Bushwacker has clashed with Daredevil both as a hired villain and on a personal level, as Daredevil once left him severely disfigured. A gritty, street-level threat who’s fought heroes like Wolverine, Luke Cage, and The Punisher, Bushwacker would be a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

5) Death-Stalker

Death-Stalker is a particularly unusual villain in Daredevil’s history. He began as a different character, Phillip Sterling, a wealthy man who became a criminal. After seemingly dying in an explosion, Sterling was transported to another dimension, leaving him without a physical form. This allowed him to move between dimensions and return to Earth as the villain known as Death-Stalker.

Death-Stalker, wearing gloves with a deadly touch and able to move between dimensions, discovered Daredevil’s secret identity and tried to use it to defeat him. However, his plan failed, and he accidentally split himself in half. His mother then tried to avenge his death – a storyline typical of comic books and potentially ideal for introducing this character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

4) Ikari

Ikari is one of Daredevil’s most dangerous enemies. He was created by Bullseye as a way to torment Daredevil further. Ikari has been given the same powers and abilities as Daredevil – even down to a similar costume – thanks to a recreated chemical formula. However, unlike Daredevil, Ikari is willing to kill, and almost succeeds when they first fight.

What I find most exciting about Ikari is how much of a mystery he is. We know he played a role in the Daredevil comics by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee, but his backstory and motivations are completely open. It’s awesome because the MCU can really create his story however they want, and it also raises the stakes – what would a truly dangerous version of Daredevil even be capable of? I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do with him.

3) Lady Bullseye

Despite sharing a name with one of Daredevil’s greatest enemies, Lady Bullseye is an independent character. She actually adopted the name after witnessing Bullseye defeat the criminals who had kidnapped her when she was a child. This led her to become involved with the Hand, a powerful organization often opposing Daredevil. Lady Bullseye is a dangerous opponent both in physical combat and in legal settings. She once cleverly disguised herself to falsely accuse Matt Murdock of murder, setting the stage for the dramatic events of the Shadowland storyline where Matt briefly led the Hand.

2) Mister Fear

Mister Fear is a Daredevil villain who’s unique because a different person is usually behind the mask each time – his fear gas isn’t the same as Scarecrow’s, though! Whoever wears the costume genuinely possesses the power to inspire fear, and the costume itself is very well-designed. This revolving identity could be a great storyline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, potentially creating a plot where multiple groups work together to spread fear throughout New York City and truly challenge Daredevil.

1) Typhoid Mary

Typhoid Mary, created by writer Ann Nocenti, is a chaotic and unpredictable character in the Daredevil universe, offering exciting possibilities for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the comics, Mary Walker is a mutant with psychic powers, like the ability to control fire, but suffers from a fractured mind, essentially having two different personalities.

Okay, let me tell you, this villain is brilliant. What makes her so compelling is that she doesn’t just act like different people, her body actually changes – different heartbeats, even different scents! It completely throws Daredevil for a loop at first, because he genuinely believes each personality is a separate individual. And it’s not just about fooling Matt’s senses; she’s playing everyone, even flirting with both Daredevil and the Kingpin! This allows her to weave herself into every single part of Matt Murdock’s world, and honestly, I’m baffled Marvel hasn’t snapped her up yet. Seriously, Marvel Studios, what are you waiting for?!
