Godzilla has become incredibly popular in crossovers lately, battling heroes from various universes like Marvel, the Power Rangers, and the Justice League – and the list keeps growing! Now, he’s facing off against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a new comic series that creates a shared world for them to fight in. With so many potential opponents and universes Godzilla could invade, we’ve put together a list of seven dream crossovers we‘d love to see, all to celebrate this new battle with the Heroes in a Half Shell.
7.) Alien Vs. Godzilla

A fight between the Xenomorphs and Godzilla would require some thought about their size difference, but the Alien series has tackled unusual challenges before. The franchise is currently enjoying a resurgence with recent installments like Alien: Covenant and Alien: Earth. Whether the battle takes place in space or on Earth, it would be incredibly dangerous for humans. The most exciting part of a crossover would likely be a fusion of Godzilla and a Xenomorph – a truly terrifying combination. It’s hard to imagine a scarier creature in fiction than what you’d get if these two monsters became one.
6.) Godzilla Vs. Predator

The Yatjua are experienced hunters, and have often preyed on humans, but they’ve never faced a creature like Godzilla. A crossover between these two franchises would be incredibly compelling, especially with Godzilla positioned as the ultimate hunt – it would be fascinating to see how the Yatjua would even attempt to take down such a powerful foe. Interestingly, the Yatjua have recently been battling characters from the Marvel Universe, just like Godzilla, which makes this crossover feel natural. While it might not lead to a combined creature like with the Xenomorphs, watching the Yatjua try to hunt Godzilla could result in a truly exceptional story.
5.) Godzilla Vs. Image

The successful team-ups between Marvel’s heroes and Godzilla, and the Justice League’s battle with the monster, have opened the door for more superhero/kaiju crossovers. Image Comics, home to popular heroes like Invincible, Spawn, and Savage Dragon, would be a great fit for another one. A mini-series format, similar to how Marvel handled their crossover with individual hero spotlights in each issue, would be the best way to maximize the potential of this exciting pairing.
4.) Transformers Vs. Godzilla

Though smaller than Godzilla, the Transformers are currently the most powerful contenders we’ve seen who could potentially defeat him. The two franchises have collaborated before on things like toys and merchandise, but a full story crossover would be something special. Just picture Godzilla arriving on Cybertron and forcing the Autobots and Decepticons to work together! There’s huge potential for exciting stories, and it would be fantastic to see the Transformers battle Godzilla and other monsters like him.
3.) Pacific Rim Vs. Godzilla

It’s surprising that we haven’t seen a crossover between the worlds of Pacific Rim and Godzilla yet. Both franchises are owned by Legendary Entertainment, making a collaboration quite feasible. The story would flow naturally – Godzilla could simply enter the Pacific Rim universe through the same dimensional breaches that bring the Kaiju to life. This crossover could happen in a comic book, animated show, or even a live-action movie, and the two worlds would complement each other well.
2.) Godzilla Vs. One Piece

Imagine all the possible anime team-ups – a crossover between One Piece and Godzilla would be incredibly exciting! Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are no strangers to huge monsters, but battling Godzilla would be an adventure on a scale even bigger than their usual escapades. It would be amazing to see heroes and villains alike join forces against a destructive kaiju, blending the worlds of Toho and Eiichiro Oda seamlessly. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to see Luffy try to punch Godzilla?
1.) Godzilla Vs. Star Trek

The idea of a Star Trek and Godzilla crossover is exciting because it could combine any era of Star Trek with the iconic monster. Star Trek frequently uses time travel, and Godzilla would present a uniquely challenging threat – potentially even more difficult than the Borg. Star Trek has a history of crossovers in comics and novels, having already teamed up with characters from X-Men, DC Comics, Dr. Who, and others. Hopefully, we’ll eventually see the Enterprise crew face off against Godzilla.
