In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Peter Parker is surrounded by a strong and loyal group of allies. Since the movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, Ned Leeds has been a constant companion to Peter, often helping him conceal his identity as Spider-Man. Although MJ isn’t immediately involved, she becomes an essential part of the story later on, playing the role of Peter’s girlfriend with dedication and unwavering support. However, the conclusion of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” leaves Peter in a difficult predicament. To keep a horde of villains from invading Earth-616, he has to cast a spell that makes everyone forget about him, including his cherished friends.
In the upcoming storyline of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” Ned and MJ may take a slightly less prominent role compared to before, paving the way for new faces to shine. A total of seven significant Spider-Man characters are yet to make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, providing exciting opportunities in this revamped narrative.
7) Gwen Stacy
Although Gwen Stacy has been featured in “Spider-Man 3” and both of “The Amazing Spider-Man” films, she hasn’t significantly impacted the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) yet. It might be challenging to establish her as Peter’s love interest due to his strong relationship with MJ. However, Gwen plays more roles than just a romantic interest in the comics. In recent years, she has evolved into a hero in her own right, and the MCU could continue this development by granting her powers on screen for the first time.
6) Ben Parker
In the movie “Homecoming”, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) chose not to retell Spider-Man’s origin story, as it had already been depicted on the big screen twice. By doing so, they unfortunately eliminated Uncle Ben’s death and his character from the film entirely. However, Uncle Ben is occasionally featured in the comics, which means the MCU doesn’t have to exclude him completely. A brief flashback could be an effective way to illustrate the significant impact Uncle Ben had on Peter Parker and how he taught Peter about responsibility before Aunt May took over this role.
5) Black Cat
If the Marvel Cinematic Universe prefers to establish Gwen as a hero, another potential love interest for Spider-Man could complicate his relationship with MJ – Felicia Hardy. Known for her mischievous ways towards the wealthy, Hardy transforms into the Black Cat, a villain who shares an attraction with Spider-Man, also known as the Wall-Crawler. In times of trouble caused by larger villains, these two often work together. Given the numerous threats expected in the MCU, it’s likely that their characters will be brought together.
4) Robbie Robertson
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), J. Jonah Jameson is already hostile towards Spider-Man, exposing him and placing blame on him for the mayhem in New York City during “No Way Home.” However, despite this, Jameson’s colleagues at the Daily Bugle are yet to be informed, including Robbie Robertson, a well-known editor for the newspaper. Some iterations of Robertson share Jameson’s animosity towards Spider-Man, while others offer support to the masked hero. Given that Peter Parker might be searching for financial opportunities in the MCU, it is possible that we could see Robbie Robertson make his first appearance sooner rather than later.
3) Silver Sable
At some point, it was planned for Black Cat to join forces with Silver Sable in a live-action movie produced by Sony. Unfortunately, the project didn’t work out, leaving uncertainty about Silver Sable’s screen debut. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) could rectify this situation by having Silver Sable pursue Spider-Man. Given her extensive resources, once her troops establish a base in New York, Peter Parker won’t find tranquility until he dismantles her entire operation.
2) Teresa Parker
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), only May Parker and Ben Parker are known as Peter’s immediate family members. However, in the comics, Peter has a complex family background, including an adopted sister named Teresa who was brought up without his knowledge. Nick Fury, on discovering her talents, trained her to become a skilled spy. When they eventually meet, they display a powerful partnership.
1) Leo Zelinsky
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Peter Parker has grown accustomed to Tony Stark creating his superhero suits. Therefore, it’s a significant change when he crafts his own suit at the end of No Way Home. If Peter feels overwhelmed with sewing, he could turn to Leo Zelinsky, who designs costumes in the comics and can potentially take on the role in Spider-Man movies. Fans adored Melvin Potter for making Matt Murdock’s outfit in Daredevil, and Leo could become just as beloved in the Spider-Man series.
