7 Incredibly Powerful Avengers Too Weird For the MCU

Marvel Comics is filled with incredibly powerful Avengers, but not all of them work well in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Marvel Universe has a huge history in comics and has fascinated fans for decades. When the MCU movies started bringing these stories and characters to life, no one expected the massive success they would find. The Avengers remain central to the MCU, as they are the leading superhero team in the Marvel Universe. Although the team is expanding in the films, it’s still smaller than the large roster seen in the comics.

While the Avengers movies constantly add new faces and concepts, some comic book heroes are unlikely to ever appear in the MCU. Their strange or complex storylines would be incredibly difficult to adapt for live-action alongside the established characters. Despite their potential power, it’s hard to imagine a way to successfully integrate them into the MCU.

7) Noh-Varr

Noh-Varr has a pretty complicated backstory in Marvel Comics, appearing in many stories since his debut in 2000. Originally an enemy of Earth’s heroes as part of the Kree Empire, he later became an Avenger. He’s incredibly powerful, with unusual abilities like saliva that can control minds and fingernails that can turn into poisonous, explosive crystals. It’s difficult to imagine how a character with such unique and diverse powers would fit into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

6) Justice (Vance Astrovik)

Vance Astrovik, the hero known as Justice, has impressive powers like moving objects with his mind and flying incredibly fast. Although he isn’t as powerful as the top Avengers, he’s a strong hero with a truly unusual backstory that doesn’t quite fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His powers first appeared after a future version of himself traveled back in time to convince him to abandon his dream of becoming an astronaut. Introducing Justice would require the MCU to first establish his original identity, Vance Astro, a cosmic hero, and it feels like a complicated leap for the franchise to make.

5) Tigra

Tigra is one of Marvel’s more unusual animal-based heroes, and that’s likely why she won’t be appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon. Her story is quite complicated – she was magically chosen to protect a race called the Cat People, who were created centuries ago. Her origins are a bit odd and actually resemble those of Black Panther. Given all of this, it’s unlikely we’ll see Tigra in the MCU in the near future.

4) The Two-Gun Kid

The Two-Gun Kid, whose real name is Matt Hawk, isn’t one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes. But he is unusual, and that, combined with his incredibly obscure connection to the Avengers, makes him noteworthy. Originally a lawyer-turned-vigilante from the Old West, Hawk was brought to the present after assisting the Avengers in a fight with Kang, earning him a place as a backup hero. While he could potentially appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s difficult to imagine why they would choose to include such a strange and little-known character.

3) Slapstick

Though not an official Avenger, Slapstick has appeared with various Marvel superhero teams connected to the Avengers. This character, who looks like a cartoon clown and is inspired by classic Looney Tunes characters, usually brings a humorous touch to any scene. He’s surprisingly strong, able to alter reality itself. Despite his powers, it’s difficult to imagine how Slapstick would fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning he probably won’t be featured in any future movies or shows.

2) Silverclaw

Silverclaw isn’t your typical powerhouse Avenger, and she’s probably too unusual to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She can transform into different animal-metal hybrids, giving her a versatile and visually interesting skillset. While she’s a surprisingly effective Avenger, her unique and somewhat bizarre powers just don’t feel like they’d fit into the MCU’s established world.

1) Jack of Hearts

Jack of Hearts is a powerful but relatively obscure Marvel character. As a half-human, half-Contraxian hybrid, he’s a deeply tragic figure because he struggles to control his immense abilities. Given that he mostly has to stay locked in a special containment room, it’s difficult to see how the Marvel Cinematic Universe could effectively use him as an Avenger.
